Two roads diverged in the woods ....

and I....

I spent too much time staring at one side.

This fork in the road, I was ready for it. I knew exactly which way I was going to take

I was promised love there.
I was promised Security from the woods.
I could already see the cabin in the distance.

There was no question of which way I would walk,
It was always a question of when.

Two roads diverged in the woods

But now the left road tells you to go right.
it tells you the other one has what you need,
what you deserve

so here I am.

At the fork.

I make my way in the right direction.

Never have I wanted more to go back and see if the was cabin is there
Was there anything?
Was I the only one who saw it?

The other path could have been beautiful I tell myself
I don't mind hiking around the fallen trees if that was the problem I tell myself
there's was cabin at the end I tell myself.

I drag my feet every step. I look over to where the other trail could be.

I put my hands in my pocket
no one is holding them now.
I turn my head forward.

Pick up your feet I tell myself

No one's going to build you your cabin
you'll build one yourself.

I continue to walk down this new path.

And that has made all the difference.
