Chapter One

Eli's POV.

Today will be a great day!

I wake up as cheerful as always, excited for the day ahead. I skip to the shower, washing my face and brushing my teeth when I'm done.

I run back to my room in my today, which is tied across my chest like a girl, because you never know who will see you! I rummage through my dresser and find a pretty white blouse and nice pink jeans, putting them on I plan what makeup I'll wear today.

I quickly decide on concealer and mascara, to keep it subtle. I rush out of my room knocking on my sister Ellie's door, I know she has trouble waking up on Mondays, so I always help her out!

"Ellie belly! You need to wake up! It's Monday, so that means school! I'll make you breakfast!" I shout to her through the door, I vaguely her her telling me to 'f*ck off', which is bad because swear words are the worst!

I walk downstairs, only to see my mom laying on the couch in the pyjamas she's been wearing for three days, this makes me sad, because I know she's in a bad spell.

"Mommy?" I gently shake her arm, "Mommy, you need to go to bed."

She just responds with a low grunt, I sigh and decide to let her be for a while.

By the time Ellie is up, I've already made her pancakes and bacon! I know she loves them.

"Hi Ellie belly!" I squeak excitedly, "Here's you breakfast, I'm going now and I hope you have a wonderful day in school!" I try to hug her, but she pushes me out of the way, swearing again. I wish she'd be nicer.. maybe she's just in a bad mood.

"Bye bye!" I say waving and walking out the door.

I get super duper happy when I see Callum is leaning against his car, waiting.

I screech and jump into his arm, catching him by surprise, as he was looking at his phone.

"Damn it Eli," he says, catching me, "Stop doing that, I might drop you one day!"

"No you won't Calli, you're big and strong!" I pout, "And you said a bad word! You know what to do!"

He sighs, exasperated, "Eli is the prettiest and best boy ever." He says while rolling his eyes, "Happy now?"

"Why yes I am!" I giggle. "Let's go Calli! We'll be late." I whine.

"Okay, you big baby. Get in." He opens the door for me and I hop in, giggling.

Today will be a great day!
