First day
Promise POV:
I was awoken out of my sleep by my momma gently shaking my leg saying for me to wake up for school . I groaned and rolled over hitting the floor " ouch " I said and got up my momma stood there laughing like it was funny " so you just gone laugh and not help me up ? " I asked jokingly " from the looks of it you had it coming , I mean promise you were sleeping very close to the edge of the bed baby girl " I chuckled and went to my closet simply grabbing my black pants that has a rip in both knees, a white spaghetti strap under shirt, my blue jean jacket and my white g-fazos. I went to take a shower making sure to rinse the soap off of my body and lather up with my baby lotion . Don't judge baby lotion is good for the skin plus it smells good anyways after I was dressed I put my curly mess of a hair into a sleek bun and did my edges I grabbed my phone and charger along with my book bag and headphones and walked downstairs. As I reached the last I smelled food knowing my momma had threw down in the kitchen " uhm promise you cannot be that hungry you didn't even pray did you ?" I stopped stuffing my face and shook my head " no ma'am" my momma laughed and kissed my forhead " hurry up you gotta get to school and I have work " I huffed and drunk my juice walking outside getting into the car " Your daddy wanted me to delay the message that he won't be able to spend time with you this weekend " I rolled my eyes ever since my daddy remarried he never spends time with me anymore but its okay though " he never spends time with me " I replied my momma sighed " I know baby girl but if you'd like it can be and mommy daughter weekend yea?" I smiled "yeah momma we can do that " we pulled into the school parking lot and got out and walked inside my momma went to clock in and I grabbed my schedule. " Hey you must be Kelly's daughter " I nodded and the woman just kept talking about how beautiful I was " kelly she looks just like you " my momma laughed as a student walked into the office signing in while I'm just standing there late as ever to my first class " Jaydian this is Promise , Promise this is Jaydian our star student athlete" I smiled and jaydian just nodded hmp how rude " Jaydian I was wondering if you could show promise to her first class ?" She sighed " lets go new kid " and with that she took off walking I had to speed walk in order to catch up with her i huffed " hey can you slow down please " she laughed a little and looked back at me " you should grow a little " I rolled my eyes as we reached my class " I'm 4'0 and you are about what 6'0 ?" She laughed again and nodded " yeah ma by the way I'm Jaydian sorry about not speaking in the office I was upset " I nodded indicating that I understood where she was coming from " we this is our class lets go " she knocked on the door and we waited for the teacher to open the door when she finally did she had this attitude look on her face " Your late Jaydian " Jaydian rolled her eyes and I snickered " something came up can we come learn now ?" The teacher let us into the class and I looked around for a seat jaydian told me to sit with her " aye ma lemme see your schedule" I handed her my schedule and watched as she scanned it comparing it with hers " we got all the same classes together ma " I smiled a little and watched as the teacher taught us the bell rung letting us know that it was time for our next class I grabbed my book bag and walked out bumping into someone while walking I fell and got right back up " im sorry I wasn't paying attention " I said picking up their books and handed them to the person I looked up and nearly pissed myself as I hugged my Best friend "Promise !!" She exclaimed I laughed still hugging her " Justize I missed you " we let go of each other and headed to our next class talking just catching up once we made it to the class we walked inside and sat at the back " aye ma!!" I looked up and saw jaydian and her friends I smiled a little" hey " she smiled back " I'm sorry for leaving you hanging but I went to talk to my shorty she tripping on me real quick " I nodded " its cool I ran into justize looking for the class " we both laughed

Jaydian POV:
Its now the end of the day and its time to go home after the last bell rung I grabbed my stuff and went to the gym I sat my things down in the locker room and changed into my basketball gear and went to warm up " aye Jaydian ?" I grabbed a ball and went over to my friends " wassup " I said dapping them up " yo so who was the shorty you were talking too ?" Taelin asked I shrugged and shoot the ball making it go in " her name promise she cool as fuck though" I replied they nodded and coach Gallman walked out her office telling us to line up on the line and we got started with practice
