Chapter 2.
The venom spreads through my veins, taking every part of mortality that i manage to cling on to. The exgrushiating pain stretches through my body, and i now know what is happening to me.
I am going to become a vampire.
I feel my blood singing into thin air, my veins closing up, my heart taking its final beats. My body is in a total frenzy and this, surely, is only the start of it. I'm isolated, and through the cracks in my eyes i manage to see carlisle, my doctor. He looks to be in as much pain as i am. His hand clamped to his mouth, he maintains the distance between us. If he came any closer to me, i am sure that he would no longer be able to keep his control. That would end up with me being destroyed by his thirst for blood. For human blood.
The agony escalated through my body for what i think is three days. My sight vanished, making me feel alone still.
When i finally opened my eyes, everything seemed brighter. Everything was clearer to me, colours more vibrant, i could see for miles. My hearing was never that good in my human life, but now i felt as if i was hearing the birds sing from all over the world. I look around me and discover i am not in the hospital anymore. A glass window extending for metres looks upon a woodland area, filled with life. Butterflys, dragonflies, fill the air. A beam of light shines through the matt of leaves that are high up in the air, held by the solid tree trunks that are like pillars. As the light hits my skin, i look down to see myself.
My complection is so much clearer, my body has completley transformed. I notice that my skin is glistening, from the light hitting it. My confusion is interupted by carlisle walking into the room.
"Edward, atlast youre awake," he smiled showing his perfect teeth.
Suddenly, for the first time, i was scared of Carlisle Cullen.
