Parker's POV
I got back from getting my mother some juice at the store.
"Um Parker" Shelby says nervously "I need to tell you something in private"
"Uh ok" I say nervously "is every thing ok"
"Just come with me" Shelby says bringing Parker to his room and shutting the door.
"Your making me nervous Shelby" i say as she sits next to me on my bed
Shelby takes a deep breath "just promise when I tell you this you won't hate me"
"I can never hate you just tell me please"
"I have pancreatic cancer Parker"
a flash of sadness fills Parker's eyes "how bad is it"
"Stage 4, I have 2 tumors one of them is being removed tomorrow"
"And the other one?" Parker's asks concerned
"It's to big to remove, I would have to go through radiotherapy to shrink it and stop the spreading of the cancer"
"Shelby" Parker says "why did you think I was gonna hate you for this?"
" i don't know,I just thought you wouldn't want to have to deal with a sick person like
Me"
"I could never hate you" Parker says as he leans in to kiss Shelby
"Thank you" Shelby says
"Who else knows?" Parker asks
"Just you and Meghan and my aunt and your mom"
"You told my mom Before you told me" Parker asks confused
"Well she kinda forced me to but yea"
"That's my mom for ya" Parker says making Shelby laugh
"I don't mind if you tell your brothers ether" Shelby says
"Ok I will" Parker says "now let's go play some Minecraft shall we" Parker says holding out his hand
"We shall" Shelby says taking his hand and getting up.
Me my brothers and Shelby continue to play Minecraft after a little while Shelby's aunt comes to pick her up.
"Bye Parker" Shelby says hugging him
"Good luck tomorrow I'll be at the hospital as soon as school is over" I say as she she leaves
"Wait why is she going to the hospital" Liam asks concerned
"she has cancer" I says letting all my tears that I've held in out "she's getting a tumor removed tomorrow" I say still crying
"mom" Liam calls "I don't know how to deal with emotions i need help" Liam says making Parker chuckle
Mom comes in the room and immediately hugs me.
"She's going to be alright sweetie, you have to stay strong for her"
"Your right" I say wiping my eyes
I go up to my room and lay and my bed I cannot go to sleep for nothing in the world the only thing that comes to mine is shelby. If she dies I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
