Chapter 2 Hogwarts

I felt a light tapping on my shoulder and woke up to see malfoy face near mine I yawned and he stood to his full height which was like 6ft

Still tired I got up groggily and headed out the train and walking to find my friends

Getting into a carriage we started our way to hogwarts in the dark.

We chatted about what went on over the holidays nothing much in my break but I enjoyed their stories of what they did

Ron's father got a promotion so he gets lots of money now so the entire family have gotten a bigger house and decent clothes that aren't all hand-me-downs like mine but I can't complain.

This year Ron visited his brother in Romania and had a blast escaping from dragons all that's changed is he's gotten taller and tanner while hermione the same just a tad bit tanner

Then there's me with pale skin and I hadn't got any taller since last year maybe that small shrinking was the problem but I didn't know properly what happened.

Hermione actually joined us in having a few sweets saying something about a personal reason and that she was hungry.

Sighing I tuned out their conversation becoming unnoticed by them arguing I just smiled and imputed every now and then but stayed to myself eating the last of the sweets Ron had gotten on the train.

After about an hour or so we arrived at hogwarts the smallest change was the additional corridor that was added in for muggleborns that can learn to cook the muggle way and other students have a choice to sign up for that class too.

I haven't though not wanting to give anything away of my home life other than the small amount Ron and the twins know.

Heading into the school I noticed the colour themes has changed for slytherin who won the house cup last year

And as I stepped into the great hall the room was lit by the galaxy above that was enchanted via request.

We all were ushered to our seats before the new first year's arrived. Many were small and cute then there was a few chubby and mean.

5 were sorted into ravenclaw
12 into hufflepuff
9 into slytherin
4 into griffindor

It was a small group so there will definitely be joint classes of all of them

I gazed around the room as dumbledore have his speech and spotted malfoy staring intently at the book hidden in his lap that many can't see.

I smiled and blushed when he looked at me and waved a small bit and I did the same after cooling my face

Maybe this year won't be as bad as I thought it would be

Food soon arrived and I graciously got a semi medium portion not feeling like eating much after those sweets.

There was a lot of food that made me gag silently it did the same with hermione and I immediately knew she was on that. So I ignored her winces and focused on not throwing up.

After dinner was served I happily joined the prefects or previously known as Ron and hermione to the dorm room as they told the password.

'godric' and we were let in.

"everyone 2nd year and above can go to their rooms they all have nameplates on the outside so be sure to lookout for them and first years do the same but on the first floor that's were you guys will be staying and boys on the right girls on the left have a good year and be sure to ask any questions you deem important or otherwise now go to your rooms and relax tomorrow we will receive our schedules and classes will start After breakfast"hermione said with a soft smile and everyone dispersed I waited for Ron as he was busy answering questions same as hermione

After they had finished we all walked up to the dorms and found our room

We were sharing with each other and neville as it was now only 3 to a room after the exanpsions.

I got dressed telling the others I was too tired to play chess and then got into bed falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

The last thing I heard was "I'm an animagus Ron and so is harry maybe you should become one so we can be a group or a pack" which was by neville then darkness and nightmares overtook
