I was at school sitting in my desk, it was the last day and we were writing our application letters for our dream school. So many of the kids, including myself, where applying for UA, it was every child's dream to be a hero, and I knew for a fact some of these kids dreams would get crushed.
After we where done writing the teacher would look threw them and tell us if we where free to sit back down or not. Once she got mine she read it over. "Oh, another UA applicant! I'm not surprised, given your dad is Present Mic!" She said happily, I blushed a tad as she put my paper down in the pile with the rest of my classmates, taking that as an "your papers good to go" I sat back down.
I could hear some kids start to whisper. "I bet she's not even going to have to take the entrence exam." I heard one kid say. "We all have to work our asses off and she just gets to sit there all high in her thrown!" One spits silently. I sighed to myself getting out a book to start reading.
Even though I was reading, I could still hear all of them whispering on how I'd get to just glide by and they'd have to work there way up, which is the exact opposite of what I'm doing. I have a schedule I follow, and that's to go to the gym, work on my quirk with my dad and Mr. Aizawa and eat healthy. I've had a system I had followed ever sense the beginning of the year.
Is it true I know all the teachers, yes. Is it true they all love me, possibly. Is it true that they are going to let me take it easy, hell no! Of anything, my dad and Aizawa told me they would push me even harder, and I know the rest of the teachers are going to be the same. Now lunch rush might let me get breakfast everyday, and might let me have a free meal with desert if I get an 100 on my tests, but that's the only special treatment I'll be getting.
Regardless I kept myself occupied till it was time to pack up. When it was we did a fun activitie while we where packing up, the teacher read off what it was that each student wanted to be. Some kids wanted to be a chief, some wanted to be teachers, others somewhere in the police department or a firefighter. But the most common one was UA. And of someone wanted to go to UA they would get a pat on the back and a good luck.
But no me. I got glares, sympathetic smiles, and some irritated faces. I stared at the teacher the entire time, she gave me a sweet smile and a pat on the head. "I'm rooting for you!" She told me. I couldn't help but have a small smile on my face. The ones that said they wanted to go to UA to stood there, astounded and mad at the same time. With everyone else, they got a nod and an encouraging smile, but I got the words of encouragement from her, so I was the bad guy.
She continued till the bell rang and we where sent on our way. I was staying back to help clean up because I wanted some extra credit on a test I bombed and didn't need my parents seeing that math grade. Once all the kids filed out of the classroom the teacher told me she would go get the cleaning supplies. It was like this everytime I bombed a test.
I stayed back, made sure there was no chalk on the erasers, cleaned the white bored, the desks, the floor, and then I was free to go home with 10 to 20 extra points depending on how good I cleaned. But as I was waiting, Jason walked in. "What are you doing still in class?" He asked with venom in his voice." His two "friends" walking behind him in a squad formation.
"I'm helping our teacher clean, you?" I asked sarcasticly looking out the window. He pushed me out of my seat using his quirk. He had a fire quirk so he could shoot fire out of his hand, if he worked hard enough he could shoot it from other parts two. I fell on my butt and glared daggers at him. "What, you mad?~" he teased me. "No, but are you?" I questioned with a mischievous smile forming on my face.
"I mean, if u are, I don't blame you! I'd be pretty mad to if I knew someone other then myself was going to be the number one hero, and not to mention someone that has a way more likely chance of getting into UA, not just because of outside sources, but because of her quirk two." His face morphed into one of rage. He walked around the table and picked me up by my shirt.
"You wanna go?" He asked, his hand being covered up by flames. I smiled at him and warped out of the room. "What? Where the fuck did she go!" I hear from inside. I smiled to my self and lean against the wall. I heard the clicking of heals and saw my teacher in the distance. Just then I heard the doors beside me slam open.
"Oh, have you boys come to help us clean the room?" "Yee they did!" I started. "They asked what I was doing so I told them I was cleaning the classroom and they didn't want me to do it by myself!" I smiled at the teacher who smiled even bigger. "That's wonderful, now let's get to work!"
And we cleaned the classroom till it was spotless, and because the teacher was there, there where no words exchanged other then when they put things in the areas it didn't belong in and I told them where to actually put it. Once I started walking home I smiled, I had gotten some people to clean and cut the time down for how long it normally takes me to clean by a ton!
If my math was correct I could get home when the sun is still up! Which would be a definite change! And I was right, I got home way before dark and I was REALLY tired. I had imedently gone upstairs and gone to sleep, but before I did, I promise myself one thing, I would not get in by being lazy, and I will work my ass off to get to the top. I will get in fair and square.
