A Comic Book Hero's Lament

Will you be the Lois Lane to my Superman?

Will you promise to always hold my hand?

Will you help me through my darkest times?

Baby, will you be my Kryptonite?

I’ll be Peter Parker,

Just, don’t be my Gwen.

I couldn’t be happy,

If you died like Uncle Ben.

I’ll be the Captain.

Please be my Peggy Carter.

Baby I swear,

I couldn’t love you any harder.

I’m not the best.

But I’ve got a big heart.

I’ll fight off villains for you,

Come on. Let our story start.

I’ll be the God of thunder

You’ll be gorgeous Jane.

With the sexy body,

And the brain.

So baby will you be my Kryptonite?

So if you need a hero I’ll be right here.

When you talk to me,

I’m like the joker,

Smiling ear to ear.

You can be Pepper Pots.

I’ll save the world from Loki.

Just looking at you,

Make me so dopey.

So tonight be my Kryptonite.

I will protect you from any harm.

I love you so much.

Sound the alarm.

Maybe we can’t be like those hero’s in movies.

But we can surely go to Comic Con

Pick any costume.

You be the brains, I’ll be the brawn.

So promise me to be my Kryptonite.
