Characters:
Luna. Age: 15. The oldest daughter of 4 siblings. Has to take care of younger siblings. High-school dropout. Works at a nearby fast food restaurant late at night. Even though she doesn't have a license, she uses her mom's license plate and pays it off every 2 years.
Anni. Age: 7. The second oldest of 4 siblings. When Luna is at work, Anni is in charge of her little brothers. She knows more than most kids her age, such as how to drive or how to change a baby's diaper to how to cook all sorts of meals.
Manni. Age: 3. The second youngest of this brother and sisters. Manni is taken care of mainly by Luna and is hit at least once a day by either his mother, grandfather, or cousin; all three drunk. He understands what it means, but keeps his mouth shut. He goes to a preschool; half as much money as the others pay because the preschool understands his situation.
Zayne. Age: 1. The youngest out of the siblings. He doesn't understand what is going on, and believes that Luna is his mother.
Mother. Age: 42. She has been drunk, going to bars every night and drinking two bottles of rum a day, since Luna was only 8. She can't supply the family, since she can't even stay sober to get a job.
Mother's Boyfriend. Age: 48. Has the same problems as Mother, only he manages to stay sober at least 4 days a month.
Pops. Age: 72. Has had liver failure and many organ problems since he was in his 50's. Smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day.
