A girl and...A monster?

Chapter 1~

I thought this town was normal, but i was wrong. This town, this little little town. No more than 400 people! There are monsters here. Riverton College was where i encountered one for the first time that i remember of. You see my parents were famous scientists who helped the monsters. Key word WERE! I was adopted to by two men who rock! Jef and Patrick who were against monsters and..my biological parents died on my birthday..people said it was the monsters. But they never found their bodies.

Today was my birthday..which i hated cause it reminds me of them. But, i left for college today. And thought they got rod of the monsters. "OUR BABY IS ALL GROWN UP JEF!" "Patrick..your standing on my foot." I loved these guys. I never wanted to leave but, Photography and Child Psychology was what i wasn't wanting to give up. "Patrick, Jef..I'll never forget you both. I could be living on the street if you didn't adopt me~ i left the photos for you guys. Even though, I'll only be across town." Jef and Patrick shared worried faces and Jef said, "Honey..the monster's are back from hiding and the mayor thought they deserve a second chance. Even though i believe they don't!" I hugged them bye and told them i was gonna be careful. Then i left, my neighbor Mrs. Williams an elderly woman who was like a grandmother to me. "Hey Mrs. Williams! I'm just heading off for Riverton College!" Her smile and congrats she gave me turned quickly into a look i never saw her make. "THOSE MONSTERS ARE THERE THOUGH DEAR!" I said something i never would've said "Maybe they changed and maybe they're friendly?" I gave a awkward smile and what she told me next broke my heart. "Disgraceful Son of a biscuit! If you wanna be like your biological parents then go ahead! They're probably in hell by now! Helping monsters and liking them are sins!" She walked back to her house and yelled for everyone in my neighborhood to hear "MYSTIC IS LIKE HER BIOLOGICAL PARENTS! THINKING MONSTERS ARE LIKE US!!"

With that i ran to the bus stop with all my luggage. I got on the bus which was only an hour ride to the college. I met my roommate who looked pretty nice. Her name was Cleo. Which sounded very familiar. "Aright..so do you want the left or right said of the dorm?" She plopped down on a bed and said "Right side."

That night i hardly got any sleep..i started having what i thought was a dream about a girl who looks like a zombie chase me down the hallway. No one was there. The doors were locked but mine. I didn't look back, but i was at the end of the hallway and saw her. I passed out after that i was terrified as HELL! "7:47am" was what my clock said when i smelled something delicious. I saw her, that girl from my dream last night. "MONSTER!!!! STAY AWAY!" I grabbed a pillow? "A PILLOW?! REALLY!"

She just burst into laughter. "Haha! A pillow? Aww that's real cute shorty. Also thanks for the damn welcome for food! I stuffed my face with fruits, waffles, and bacon. She smirked at me plopping down right next to me. "What's your name?" I didn't think she heard me cause my mouth was full. I looked up to her eyes and she replied "I got two names. Cleo and Zia or Z for short. Your roommate." I chocked on my food. "There's no way..your not Z!" She nodded. "Mystic, I am Zia. So if wanna go press that big red button on the wall over there and make everyone freak out like a "flesh" eating monster is in the dorms. Then by all means, go ahead." I was near the button but i turned back around and said "Why are you here? Monster form i mean." She sighed and looked me dead in the eyes. "Your parents, biological parents..helped the monsters by going into hiding. We didn't kill them..i swear. Mystic, believe me..."

DORM CHECK! IF THERE ARE MONSTERS IN HERE WE'LL KILL THEM ON THE SPOT! Is what we heard outside the dormitories. I looked at Cleo and said "Hide. Do something!"
"Alright" Then when they opened the door Zia was back to normal. I was sitting on my bed with a book and she was in a bean bag with her camera looking through photos. SEARCH FOR ANYTHING THAT COULD BE FROM A MONSTER! Then Zia looks nervous and they pull off the poster she had over another poster that said SAVE THE MONSTERS! They look at Zia and and ask why there was a poster of this in here. "CAUSE HURTING THEM IS WRONG!" YOUR COMING WITH US MS. ZIA! She yelled "NO!" and ran off from the campus. "ZIA!" I heard the officer say something under his breath I got a feisty one. I'll keep a close eye on her. He turned to me and said Just press that button if a monster comes in here Ms. Mystic. I nodded and said i will, but i had my fingers crossed, i hate seeing the monsters get killed in front of their people.
