Chemistry

There he was. Mr. Popular himself. He was walking through the hall with all of his football friends. Would he remember me? Of course he wouldn't remember me. Asher Adams doesn't remember "nobody's."

We made eye contact for a brief second then it was broken when a joke was made in the group and Asher whipped his head around to laugh.

Asher Adams:
High school jock and best wide receiver around.
Pretty face and really funny, but has a big ego.
Has probably the prettiest girlfriend in the whole school. Leila Faisal.

Leila Faisal:
High school princes and constant winning prom queen.
The complete boss of everything and best friends with Olivia Baker.

Olivia Baker:
Best friends with Leila and currently a nobody.
Shes crushing on Spencer James and she's my only friend.
The only other people she'll talk to is Leila and her older brother Jordan Baker.

Jordan Baker:
Best friends with Asher and the brother of Olivia.
The coaches son and quarterback on the football team.
Friends with Spencer James.

Spencer James:
Friends with Jordan and a current transfer from Crenshaw High school.
Supposedly to be the next greatest football player around.

Yup. That's it. The whole group. As you might have noticed I'm not apart of that group. My names Sadie Rhodes. 

Sadie Rhodes:
Has no friends besides Olivia.
Spends most of her days observing others and sketching in her journal.
Currently a nobody.

Yup. That's me. The girl that nobody really likes. But it's alright. I quite like being on my own.

"You know you could just go talk to him." Olivia said as I closed my locker.

"You know I can't do that. Besides he doesn't even know who I am."

"How do you know that? Maybe he's madly in love with you." Olivia said exaggerating "love".

"Shut up." I laugh. We had made our way out in the courtyard. Where almost every popular person hung out.

I only walked out here with Olivia after school so she could meet up with Leila and I could get to my car.

"Hey Olivia!" Leila yelled from the other end of the courtyard. "Better go. You know I have to go hear about her plans about setting up for the prom." Olivia said rolling her eyes and laughing.

"Oh ya. Don't get to caught up in that. You might get hooked." I said winking as I started to turn away.

"Right." Olivia said sarcastically. As Olivia made her way to Leila, I made my way to my car. I honestly don't like Leila. She gives me a bad vibe. Maybe it's all of the makeup.

"Hey Olivia! What's up?"

She was always so perky. Acting like her life was perfect even when it wasn't.

Leila's mother died 2 years ago. Her whole family was on a skiing trip and her mother left. Turns out she never even made it to the airport.

"Nothing. Just hangin out."

Olivia never knew what to say when Spencer was around. It was like her tongue got twisted into a knot and there was no way of words coming out of her mouth.

"Cool." Leila said patting the bench next to her, implying for Olivia to sit down.

"Hey Olivia. What was that girls name you were talking to earlier?" Asher asked.

Asher wants to know my name? God! He should know it!

"Um. You mean Sadie? She's really nice. And really smart. If I ever need help with anything, she's there to help." Olivia said.

"So she could help with homework?" Asher asked quirking an eyebrow.

"God! She won't do your homework if you pay her to do it!" Olivia said rolling her eyes.

Classic Asher. Always finding a better way out.

"Hey worth a try. But really. Could she help me with some homework? Like to help me understand it of course." Asher said trying to make his question sound better than he had made it earlier.

"Um. I could ask her. What is it you need help with?"

"Chemistry. I'm literally failing because I don't pay attention." Asher said then took a drink of his Gatorade.

"I thought chemistry was your favorite." Olivia says taking off her backpack.

"Biology. Now are you gonna ask her or not?" Asher asks picking up his bags.

"Ya for sure. I'll just uh. Find you tomorrow then" Olivia said as she looked Spencer's way smiling.

Smooth Olivia. You only said that because you knew Spencer would be around.

"Sounds good. I'm off to practice. You coming Spencer?"

Oh no. Spencer's looking at Leila. When Olivia finds out that he likes Leila instead of her she's gonna freak.

"Ya. I'm comin" Spencer said as he smiled and stood up.
