The gentle winds blew South as a fire blazed in the East. Screams could be hear, loud, blood-curdling female screams. Faint outlines could be seen of people - slaves, and a Khaleesi. Ashes of a Khal blew with the winds in the fire. Screams cut off, and a slave running could be seen.

Rain pattered at the roof, leaking onto ten-year-old Rhaega's white hair and forehead. The child was asleep on the cold, muddy floor - causing her rags to be even more filthy. Rhaega slept without a sound, and she seemed peaceful. Her aunt had taken care of her when her mother died in a fire, and Rhaega was always desperate to meet any family.

The sound of horses woke Rhaega from her deep sleep, and through the empty windows of the hut she could see a man in armour. Her curiosity caused her to go outside in the early hours and see what the man was up to.
