Suddenly the door opened with a creak like sound like one of those hunted houses. It was dark before a pale face peaked out. Finally I could see the handsome man's face clearly. His statue build so implacably I could drool. I blinked before saying a meek hi.
"Hello, how can I be of assistance my lady?" asked the handsome man.
"Please tell me this is where Ciel Phantomhive lives," I stated still trying to catch my breath.
"Yes that is correct," he replied.
"Ugh... I am so glad I lost like 40 years of my life walking those twenty miles," I cut him off with my complaint.
He blinked back in surprise at my lack of manners.
"I'm sorry Ma'am but my master does not accept guests or visitors this late. If there's anything I can relay to him," he began as I cut him off.
"Please Sebastian we both know you aren't really one for helping humans, if you know what I mean," I raised my brow pointedly.
He furrowed his brow in confusion, "certainly you do know me better than most. Tell me human what is your name and how is it that you know of what I am? Better yet why you aren't scared of this one?"
I smiled at him, "I'm sweating like a pig, didn't you hear me I like walked from China to France on foot so if you'd let me talk to Ciel I would be able to explain everything," I explained annoyed.
Sebastian pulled back after peering at me like I was some bug he could squash with his fingers.
I'm sure he could I shuddered.
He then silently lead me into the estate.
"Um, where should I put this?" I asked holding my bags.
"You may leave it here until we figure out what we will do with you," replied Sebastian as he led me to his master's study.
"Hmm... you sound like I'm some stray cat that's waiting to be adopted," I pouted.
He looked back at me raising a brow, "the similarities are there I hate to admit it."
"I'll take it!" I quipped.
"Pardon?" He asked.
"That was your roundabout way of complimenting me so I'll take it," I replied with a smile.
He smiled before stopping in front of double doors he knocked before entering.
"Please excuse the intrusion master but there is a current matter that deems precedence," replied Sebastian.
Coming around from behind Sebastian I was finally able to get a clear glimpse of the master of the estate.
Ciel was a total cutie. I bet when he grew older he would have girls falling left and right. Awe Lizzie's a lucky girl. He still had a man's gaze. Those eyes filled with years beyond his young body. His one eyes covered by an eye patch was covered with a jet black mop of hair made him look quite handsome.
He looked up his papers as he noticed me his eyes turned from a blank stare to that of confusion.
"What is it?" he asked.
"This young lady here wished to speak to you," he replied.
"Don't waste my time Sebastian we both know you wouldn't let any insignificant human being wishing to speak to me enter my study. Now tell!" He ordered.
I jumped from the authority in his tone.
I raised my hand, "um... I can explain."
He looked at me with a glare which made my glare back but mine wasn't serious I was ready to burst out laughing before Sebastian interrupted us, "this young lady claims to know information about you and myself."
Ciel's eyes changed from a glare to a threatening anger.
"Is that so?" he asked calmly. Those eyes... they were so empty. Like a calm before a storm.
"Why would she come here of her own accord telling me that she knows of our secrets? Seems a bit reckless," Ciel said as he looked at me with a smirk.
"Hey hey! Hold up I'm innocent here just hear me out before you, you know," I said as I made the cutting ones head off.
He looked at me with a contemplative expression before sighing and ordering me to sit.
I sat down in front of him, "finally I thought I was going to collapse and you people call the nineteenth century an era with chivalry and men are gentlemen!"
If he picked up my weird accent or the subtle hint of me being not of the 19th century he didn't comment on it. He ordered Sebastian to bring tea.
He looked at me as he folded his hands under his chin.
"Well, why don't you tell me," he stated.
"Do you promise to listen to my story completely before saying anything?" I asked.
"I promise," he replied.
Sebastian walked in with tea as I began to speak, "My name is Stella Hattie," my eyes stared into Ciel's as if I could look into his soul, "I had arrived at Heathrow London three days ago, my destination was Oxford. I was going to study at Hertford College for a semester as a study abroad student. My first day was supposed to be September 3rd, 2017..."
Ciel raised a brow as he took a sip from his teacup, "your educated!"
I smiled wryly figures that's what stood out. I nodded in acknowledgment.
"You say you are from the future... so you know about the past... you certainly sound like you know about my past..." he said as his stare bore down.
How? What do you know? Was really what he was asking.
"I don't think I'm just from the future... I think I am from a parallel universe. To know about you guys was more because I read some fiction stories that my sister recommended to me. But that is to say, it doesn't mean your world is any real than mine. Once I entered this plane everything that was real has become fiction and everything that was fiction has become real," I explained.
He raised his right leg up on the chair as he rested his right elbow and head looking at me with boredom.
"So what should I do with you?" he asked.
