Wife of a Royalty

Chapter 1:

"Ms. Lopez, Her Majesty is waiting for you." Sabi ni Alice na isa sa mga 500 maids dito sa palasyo.

I'm Autumn Leigh Lopez, 29 years old. And I've been Her Majesty's Personal Assistant for almost 10 years now.

Queen Augusta Eliza Georgian Seraphine has been the reigning for 50 years now. She is turning 80 this year and apparently, gusto na niyang bitawan ang trono. She is a very strong and independent woman and that is the reason why I admire her.

Her husband, the late King Phillip Maurice Henry Alexander died at a plane crash 20 years ago. While Prince Arthur Geoffrey Albus Stefan, their only son, and his wife, Princess Samantha died in a car accident the following year.

Her only grandson and heir to the throne, Prince Alexus Gregory Ralph Theodore, loves travelling and often leaves the palace for personal vacations. However, the Queen wanted him to be present at her 80th birthday kaya naman paniguradong darating na ang Prinsipe one of these days.

I am in-charge for the celebration of Her Majesty's birthday kaya naman narito ako upang malaman ang mga impormasyon at detalye sa mga nais niyang gawin.

I knocked at her room's door and opened it.

"Good morning, Your Majesty." Sabi ko at yumuko bilang pagpapakita ng paggalang dito.

"Magandang umaga rin sayo, Leigh." Sabi nito at ngumiti.

Tama po kayo, nakakapagsalita ng tagalog ang Reyna. FYI, she's very fluent at it. I taught her the basics pero nagulat na lamang ako nang mag-hire siya ng teacher para lamang makausap ako ng maayos. Ginagamit niya ang lengguwaheng Pilipino sa tuwing may nais siyang sabihin sa akin na ayaw niyang ipaalam sa iba.

"Mukhang maganda po ang gising ninyo, Kamahalan."

"Of course, my grandson is coming home." Sabi nito at tumungo sa bintana at pinagmasdan ang hardin.

"That's good to hear, Your Majesty."

"And he's getting married." Sabi pa nito.

"Oh! Who's the lucky Princess po?" I asked as I checked her schedule for the day.

"You..." and with that, I dropped my planner.

"P-Pardon?" nauutal kong sabi habang pinupulot ang mga gamit ko.

"Ikaw ang gusto kong maging asawa ng apo ko." Sabi nito at lumingon sa gawi ko.

"B-But Your Majesty, that's an absurd idea."

Nawala naman ang ngiti niya.

Shit, anong gagawin ko???

"I won't be staying long in this world, Leigh. And I want to see my grandson get married, before I die. You are very well aware of my health condition, kaya alam kong maiintindihan mo ako."

Oo, may taning na ang buhay ng Reyna. Pero hindi sapat na rason yun para pagbigyan ang ninanais niya.

"Please, Leigh." She said at lumuhod sa harapan ko.

Anong nangyayari sa mundo?!

"Please stand up, Your Majesty. Hindi po dapat kayo lumuluhod sa isang taong hamak na tulad ko." Sabi ko at itinayo siya.

"Isang hamak na tulad mo? Ang isang tulad mo na may puso ang dapat na mangalaga sa trono, Leigh. Kaya huwag mong sasabihin na isa ka lamang hamak na kung sino." Sabi nito at hinawakan ang mga kamay ko.

"P-Pero kamahalan—''

"Think about it, Leigh. I'll be waiting for your positive response."
