Chapter 1

"Hello everyone!" I beamed my jaw dropping and heart stopping smile. Pademure kong inilagay sa aking teynga ang kumawalang buhok and gave away a wave after. "Welcome to my vlog channel!" and winked. "Uhm, for today we're going to watch the UAAP women's volleyball! DLSU vs ADMU!!" mas nagpacute pa ako sa camera. "Give me a round of applause guys!" then I sighed in a very dramatic way.

"Your voice is too weak." Lafayette whispered on my right.

"Ganon talaga, nagconcert ako last night." I laughed on the camera showcasing my beautiful face even more. Before I concentrated more on what I'm doing. "Bali nandito kami ng bff ko.." I focused the lens to Lafayette a bit and she made a greetings then the camera back to the heavy road outside the car. "..sa kahabaan ng edsa. Kung saan ang takbo ng car namin ay parang ex mo na hindi maka move on." Lafayette raised her brow at me and I pouted then smiled once more.

Lafayette is my best friend forever like since immemorial, she's a bit older than me. I was homeschooled during my grade school before we get super glued to each other. Our families are super close why we ended up attending the same school up to college. At kahit ngayong pareho na kaming tapos sa pag aaral, heto pa rin kami at magkasama. Not that I was complaining. We stuck to one another like a glue and I'm too happy having her as my bff, she always have got my back. Lafayette is one of the prettiest faces in my school even outside, you can refer her to as the face that launched a thousand ships. She's too darn beautiful beyond the word. Minsan nga nakaka intimidate na ang ganda niya. Unlike me, I may have soft features but most of the netizens and my fans in social media's pointing out about my tan complexion which I tend not to mind because I love my natural hush brown skin tone. But I had read few in my comment section, both fans and haters. Kept on saying that Lafayette is more beautiful than me, they even asked for her IG, kaya lang masyadong private na tao si Lafayette kaya private rin ang account nya.

Though I already admitted it, she's more beautiful yes.. but she never made me feel less of myself. Palagi nyang sinasabi na mas maganda ako o kaya naman na pareho lang kaming maganda, nagkataon nga lang na maputi siya. And native people here in the Philippines have this myth and were thinking like, if you have this porcelain whiter fairer skin you are the most beautiful. Which have a different or opposite thinking from westerner. They like more tanned skin tone more than anything else, it's way attractive for them too. And as for me, I am actually dreaming for my future boyfriend who has the same aspects in relationship and partner like westerner. Not that I didn't like filipinos for a relationship, it's just that I preferred american men. Well, a girl can dream. At kahit pa NBSB, I could say na naging masaya naman ang mga nakaraang taon ko as a single teens and post-millennial. I even made a vlog about, being loveless means stress less.

We showed on my vlog the exact things happening on to us, from our long car drive fighting against the heaviness of the traffic in EDSA. Hanggang sa makarating na kami sa building ng university. But before entering the campus we dropped first at our favorite spot ever in every vlog that we had filmed and that's the food segment. And as for today, we gonna show our viewers the last challenged they've asked us to make. And that is to eat street food like fish balls and meat balls with this cold flavoured juice.

"Mahaba pa ang pila." Ranier told us, my driver/bodyguard. Kuya Ranier has been my driver and bodyguard for almost three years now, pumalit siya kay Steve ang unang driver/bodyguard ko nang malipat itong maging isa sa mga drivers ni dad.

"Say "hello there!" first, kuya Ranier!" I chirped and focused unto him the spotlight.

Alanganin pang kumaway at bumati si kura Ranier. Kahit ilang taon na namin itong ginagawa hindi pa rin siya sanay sa ganito. Well, wala siyang magagawa. I am the proud Malyn Aquino, a business tycoon's daughter, IG influencer and a vlogger. And sooner a businesswoman or just a plain employee perhaps.
