(Claire's POV):
I took in the gorgeous landscape as Ivy, Kalys & I descended into the region of love, Kalos. Ever since Mom and Dad died, I had been feeling empty inside, even more so than I usually did, so I had decided that it was time for a change in scenery. When my Pokemon and were trying to think of where to go, Ivy decided that Kalos would be the perfect place for all of us.
So, with that, we packed up our things and left. We finally landed after a few hours of flying, and then went to the first Pokemon Center we saw. I walked in, and was greeted by the sweet, smiling face of Nurse Joy. I handed her all of my Pokeballs, and she began to heal them. She then proceeded to hand them back to me, saying "Thank you for waiting. We have restored your Pokemon to full health. We hope to see you again!"
I had just walked out through the door when I was greeted by a familiar voice. "Claire?! Is that you?!" "Kukui...? Hmm...." He then proceeded to tackle me in a hug, almost choking me. I shoved him off, saying "Kukui... Please don't touch me like that again. And what are you doing here?" I asked him. To that, he replied "I came here 'cause I wanted to train my Pokemon. Hey, I know!! We should have a Pokemon battle, cousin!!! Whaddaya say?!" Knowing him, he wouldn't take no for an answer, so I just replied with a simple "...Sure..." So with that, we began.

(Kukui's POV):
I wonder what Claire's doing here, anyway? I mean, she's normally so silent all of the time, and it's not often that she'll agree to something, especially when it concerns me!! Anyways, I'm gonna show her how strong I've gotten over time!
(Back to Claire's Pov):
"Go get 'em, Moon! I yelled, calling out Moon. Kukui then called out his Umbreon, mumbling something about 'strength'. I quickly yelled out Shadow Claw to Moon, who then knocked out Umbreon in that one blow. He looked at me in shock, then smirked as he yelled out "That's fine! Come on out, Nightstar!" He sent out his Garchomp, then he used Dragon Claw on Moon. It wasn't very effective, but it still did a number on her.
"Moon, use Dragon Claw!" In that one hit, she destroyed his Garchomp. He then called out his Ivysaur, and I switched out my Moon for Misty. But before I could do anything, he used Frenzy Plant, which was super effective, therefore making Misty faint.

After a long battle, we each had only one Pokemon left. I called out my loyal Mawile, and he called out his Mega-Charizard. "Here. I'll let you go first, okay?" He said, to which I just nodded in reply. "Mal, use Extrasensory!!" With his weakened Charizard, he yelled out "Charizard! Use Draco Meteor!!" Mal tried to dodge the attack, but his Charizard was too fast and it landed a direct blow on her.
With that, I realized that I'd lost, and that he'd won. He won. WOW. We both stood there before rushing towards our Pokemon to get them healed, but before he could go anywhere, I pulled him aside. "Hmm? What is it, Claire?" he asked. For one of the first times, I smiled. "You did a great job, K. You've really impressed me, for once. And that's something to be proud of." I then gave him a peck on the lips, and walked off before he could say anything else.
