*still* Arkin's POV

AT THE HOUSE

Paolo and I immediately ran up to my room after saying to my mom that we were back from school.

"Paolo, you can get the snacks and drinks while I can start the game."

"Yeah sure." Paolo replied with a thumbs up before doing what he was told to do.

We put our bags down onto the bed and Paolo went to grab snacks in the kitchen.

I decided to take out the video games that I kept and turned on the TV. A while later, Paolo came back with full of snacks and drinks in both of his hands.

I closed the door after when he went inside and walked up to Paolo to sit down next to him. 

"Okay! Let us now start!" Paolo replied in excitement as he grabbed the controller and gave the other one to me.

FEW MINUTES LATER

I tried to reach for the food beside Paolo while my eyes were still focusing on the screen, Suddenly I felt an arm grabbing mine and pulled me towards him, making me gasp and look at Paolo.

I heard that I lost in the game, but I didn't care. I was on top of him which made me look down at him with widen eyes. Seems like Paolo is smirking at me because he had won and I lost in the final round.

"Oh, look who won this time~" He chuckled, making me pout at him.

"That wasn't fair! You pulled my arm to distract me! You fucking cheater.." I glared at the other, and it made Paolo laugh.

"WHAT'RE YOU LAUGHIN' AT!?" My face started to turn bright red and pull away from being on top of him as he continued to laugh hard.

Paolo: "Nothing, nothing. Your face.. is just so red, are you sick or something?" 

Arkin: "I AM— ABSOLUTELY FINE."

I then turned away to hide my embarrassing face and he just chuckled, now putting down his controller to finish eating his food.

After calming myself down due from the embarrassment earlier, I turned off the TV because we were tired from playing and just decided to eat our snacks as we have a conversation.

"So, how are things with you and Bea?" I started the conversation first since it was quite silent for a while.

"Ah, It's going fine. How about you and Karen?" Paolo turned his head towards me as he asked.

Nodding my head in response and reply with a, "Yeah, we're doing good." A smile was shown onto my lips after I spoke.

Paolo just hummed softly and smile back, "That's great then."

Arkin: "Yeah, I guess it is."
I started to stare at Paolo, after not saying anything.

Paolo: "What are you looking at?"

My heart would skip a beat all of a sudden, making me look down immediately and shook my head. "It's nothing, no worries.", I simply said.

"Mm okay well, I guess I have to go home now. It's almost evening. See you tomorrow, dude." Paolo slowly stands up, rubbing off the dirt onto his pants, making me do the same.

We did the same old handshake  we made since we were in our elementary days. It was one of the best days I've had.

Paolo finally said his last goodbye, now walking out of the room, his footsteps could be heard as he went downstairs.

I sighed to myself once he wasn't in the house anymore and looked around my own room, groaning as he sees many trash on the bed and on the floor.

'Might as well have to clean this big mess.' I thought to myself before starting to take the trash away.
