Chapter 1- The Girl With The Purple Beanie

*This is my first serious writing thingy, so if it's not the best, don't be surprised, I'm not a A* English student lol, enjoy*

"Wake up sweetpea, you need to get ready for school." called Lee. I woke up rubbing my eyes violently, I had been up all night reading Harry Potter (I'm on Deathly Hallows jsjskksk). Reluctantly I got up and scratched my head. Me, Lee and AJ had moved house a couple of days ago and since it was the end of summer break, it was time for me to go my new school. Ericsons High School I think its called. I hope and can actually make friends at this school. I already had one friend at that school, Duck. We used to go to school together when we were super young but we haven't talked in a while, I hope he'll remember me. I make final touches to my appearance by fixing my hair into a low ponytail and putting on my hat. I can't leave anywhere without it. I run downstairs eagerly to get some breakfast, man I'm starving. Aj had already finished his cheerios and was playing with his disco broccoli toy (I cant quite figure out why Aj likes it so much) and their was a plate of pancakes that was for me.
"How did you sleep Clem?, Lee asked rubbing his eyes.
"Just there I suppose", I said while stuffing my face with pancakes. We didnt really talk much, mainly because I was so focused on my food and Lee was reading a newspaper. After I had finished I put my plate on the countertop and sat of the couch. I had to admit, I was really nervous, it had been forever since I've made friends other than the ones I already have and I'm afraid to screw up. I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't hear Lee calling me.
"Clementine?" Lee tapped me on the shoulder, which caused me to jump back into reality.
"Sorry, Im just tired", fixing my hat back securely on my head.
"You'll be fine Clem, don't worry about it", its like Lee knew exactly what I was thinking. That reassured me alot surprisingly.
"Thanks Lee", I said and hugged him. I really love Lee, he's been there for me since my parents died, I don't know what I'd do without him. It was finally time for me to go to school, Me and Aj got into Lee's car, Aj complaining about how hot it is was in there, and after a short 10 minute drive we were at Ericsons. I looked really big and posh, which worried me a bit as I'm not really the posh type. I hugged Lee and walked to the reception. Since Lee was a teacher here he had to go and do teacher shit I guess. I could see loads of kids staring at me from the corner of my eye, but I tried to ignore them. I went to reception and got my timetable for the week. I came out of the reception area and saw a group of kids who looked to be around my age, looking at me. There were about 8 of them and one boy with dreads gestured my to come over, smiling at me. I walked over to them, smiling back.
"Hey, are you new? We have never seen you around." the boy asked, adjusting his shirt like he was trying to impress me.
"No shit Louis, course she's new" said a voice. It was a tender voice, and kind of cute. I followed the trail of the voice to a short, blond haired girl with a purple beanie. She was wearing a black and purple flannel with a white shirt underneath, and black, ripped jeans. Her eyes were emerald green and eyelashes were quite long, though she was wearing no mascara. I stared at her to the point where noticed me.
"Err, hey? You okay there?"
I immediately snapped back into reality, "Err yes, sorry. I'm Clementine."
She looked at me and smiled, "Violet." She looked really really cute when she smiled. I blushed profusely for no reason, I mean when they boy smiled at me I didn't blush so what's different about her?
"Wow, Violet smiling? That's a rare occurrence" a girl with short red hair said, "Im Brody." Violet started blushing when Brody said that and playfully punched her in the shoulder, "Shut up Brody." Brody laughed at her.
"Anywayyyy, that's Minnie", pointing to a shy girl with long red hair,"Mitch, Ruby, Marlon and Will-"
"HI I'M WILLY, YOU'RE REALLY HO- CUTE, I MEAN CUTE" said a short boy with crooked teeth and choppy hair.
"Oh my god Willy, please no", Violet said face palming while sighing. I couldn't help but laugh which made everyone else laugh. After they had all introduced themselves, I asked to sit with them at lunch and they were happy with the idea. They seemed like really nice people and I was impressed that I had made friends so quickly. Though I noticed Violet kept staring at me, which wasn't a bad thing at all. In fact, I found it really cute. I've never really called a girl cute before but she was just different...I could tell from her eyes that there was more to what she was showing to me and her friends, I could see hurt and sadness in her eyes. Im looking forward to getting to know her.

*I'm trash at writing but I hope you enjoyed this, I actually liked writing it, idky lmao, I'll,prolly post the next part on Friday but idk, okie bai :)*
