Violet lily

Chapter One

My name is Violet Lily Walker but most people just call me Violet I live with my sister Millie, my mum Linda, my dad Stefan and my 6 pets. We are not poor but we definitely are not rich I guess you could just call us middle class. We live in a small town that is not very well known it's a bit of a country side type town and there isn't much to do, my town is called Rassand Lake and is in the middle of England.

"Violet come on you are going to be late, get of that computer and get down here now!"  My mum is always stressing I'm going to be late but my school doesn't care that much anyways.
"Coming" I slip on my black patent dr martens and run down the stairs scrunching my hair up into a messy bun as I go. " come on then let's go mum, I'll be late if we don't leave now" I mock as my mum scowls at me and slips on her driving shoes.

We arrive at school i shout goodbye to mum as I hurry to the door of my small school trying to avoid getting to wet from the rain that is falling heavily from the sky.
"Good morning Violet, how are you this morning?" Mr Michaels asks as he opens the door to let me in.
I smile "I'm good thank you, sir." He smiles and lets me into the hall until school starts in 10 minutes. As soon as I walk through the door of the hall all the eyes of my fellow class mates stare a me I smile and sit down with my two best friends Rose and Natalie. They don't speak just nod their heads at me. Then I see him, the fittest, most craved after lad at my school he's in his final year at this place and is a year older than me, but the fact he's older doesn't stop me from having a massive crush on him. Leon Haywood moves to Rassand around about 6 months ago and I've had a major crush on him since the only problem is he'd never look at me that way.

The ear splitting sound of the bell shrills through my ears and I know instantly it's time for class, me, Natalie (Nat) and Rose head to class. "I'm so tired it's untrue I want to be asleep instead of this place, Nate came round last night and didn't leave until 5 o'clock this morning so let's just say I haven't had much sleep." Natalie says whilst winking as if to make sure it was very clear she wouldn't have had much sleep. Nate is her boyfriend and comes round every Tuesday to see her.

The day passes me by slowly but luckily my mum isn't working today so she can pick me up which is amazing today because I have no energy to walk home. The only thing that has stopped me from falling asleep in all my lessons today is the fact that Natalie can cheer me up very easily and  then I end up making everyone else laugh the whole lesson. For lunch today we had spaghetti and carbonara and it was amazing. It wasn't the like the usual rank food you get in a school canteen as one of the students and 2 of my teachers made it for all of  us. As I've said my school is tiny but what I haven't said is it only has 20 students that go there and I like it that way, as long as it's got a good report off the council then I don't mind about the size of it.

I walk down the corridor to a place where I can wait for my mum to pick me up. "Hey, can I stay at yours tonight babes? as my dads mental health ain't in a good way again and my mam wants me out of the house whilst she gets him sorted."
"Of course you can Nat, you know you're always welcome up at mine, my mum literally loves you staying I think she might prefer you to me to be honest" I laugh slightly at the end of  what I'm saying and Nat's face lights up like a Christmas tree. She gives me a massive hug and I laugh into her shoulder, gosh I love my best friend so much!
