Feria's pov

I was running swiftly through the woods, the breeze hitting me before he tackled me to the ground.

"Gotcha! You're it Feria!" My older brother Crose yelled. I pushed him off and groaned.

"Uhhh Crose that wasn't fair!" I pouted, looking into his eyes, hoping I could be given a second chance. I could tell, even if I was four years old, that he was giving in. He slumped his shoulders.

"Fine. But if I catch you, you can't complain even if it was unfair." I grinned.

"Deal!" I jumped up in satisfaction and no sooner than that, sprinted into the forest, determined to win. I didn't get tired too often, the pack doctor saying that I had a close to unlimited supply of adrenaline, which is very rare, therefore I could run for weeks without getting the slightest bit tired.

My last chance to win fuelling my desire I burst through the trees into the clearing me and Crose hang out in. I stopped in the middle and used my extremely sharp vision to look for any signs of Crose. He is an excellent hider, it's his special talent, but my vision excelled his ability to hide, as I saw a glimpse of his black shirt in the distance. I took a deep breath, using my ability to hide my scent to sneak up on him and catch him before he could catch me.

I was now three meters away from a very unaware Crose, who looked confusingly into the distance where the last remnants of my scent were lingering in the air. I smirked and jumped onto his back, laughing when he tumbled, surprised that I caught him, being 9 years younger than him.

"Feria! you are way to good for a four year old! does your adrenaline give you new cool powers or something? how did you hide your scent from a wolf like me?" he said, still a bit of surprise in his voice from my successful attempt to catch him.

"Crose you are only 13! You aren't as good as daddy!" I giggled, letting go of him and getting up, the long grass tickling my legs. He sighed disappointed and I frowned. why was he sad? "What's wrong Crose?" I asked confused. was he hurt?

"You wouldn't understand Feria, you are only four. But I'm not sad, I just can't wait until I'm as strong as dad and it makes me even more anxious that you are already stronger than me and you are four!" his eyes were turning black, he was getting angrier by the second. "it's unfair Feria! you are a girl AND you are younger than me!" he turned on his heel and ran, knowing that if he screamed any louder, he would not be able to control his wolf. I watched as he ran off into the woods, shifting into his pitch black wolf with five golden stars making their way around his left eye.

Now I was sad. I made him very angry and now I lost him. I sat down into the long green grass in the clearing and I felt a tear run down the cheek of my tanned skinned face. what if he never came back? the thought kept running in the front of my head. I felt my bright yellow pants get wet as I sat down into the mud. but I didn't care, I had just lost one of my brothers. Crose was the oldest, and he was my favourite. He always played with me and made me happy, especially when mom or dad were too busy to play with me. he was always there, a warm smile plastered onto his identically tanned skinned face, his long black curls covering the top portion of his forehead.

I hadn't realized, but I was crying even more, the tears were running down my face and onto my white shirt like a river. but then I realized that if he was out there in the thick treed woods, that I could find him.

Determined and fuelled by my adrenaline, I ran in the direction that I saw him run, running past all the delicate and beautiful flora in the forest and using my ability to track like any full grown wolf to track him I found him asleep near the narrow rocky river that split our pack's territory to that of the dark pine pack. We have never dared to cross into their territory, we knew too well after daddy came back once, all beaten and bruised, that that was a dangerous place for anyone. I went up to Sam and laid down close to him, pushing my small back against his larger chest. I felt his long and muscular arms wrap around me, pulling me impossibly close.

"I'm sorry sis. I shouldn't have ran off, but I needed to calm down. I'm glad you found me." He said, sleepiness aware in his cracking voice.

"I'm glad I found you too. I thought you ran away forever!" I said, happy that he wasn't mad anymore. But I was still a bit sad that I made him upset, he was always so sweet to me and i hated making him mad or upset, it was like a piece of my heart was being ripped out. my thoughts were interrupted by his masculine voice, asking me a question.

"How did you find me?" he asked, but I didn't have an answer. I told him the first thing that popped into my small head.

"I guess I just really really wanted to find you, so I did." I tried to shrug, but I ended up hitting my delicate shoulders into his jaw.

"Ouch!" he winced in pain and I turned to face him. my adrenaline also have me a more powerful hit, a blow that at the age of four, I could take out any full grown wolf that wasn't a higher ranking.

"I'm sorry Crose!" I said, trying to be sincere, as I didn't want to make him any more upset at me than he already was. he smiled at me.

"Fire." he said. I stared at him confused.

"What?" I asked, hoping he would clear up what he had meant by fire.

"Your nickname will be fire. your adrenaline makes your personality as ferocious as a fire." He smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back. that nickname sounded very cool, and it seemed very fitting.

"I like it." I said laughing. he laughed with me, the vibrations of his deep voice giving me chills.

"Fire." I repeated, smiling because it was perfect.
