Stan- You met at his dad's temple. It was the only one in Derry because there wasn't a very big Jewish population. You overheard his dad saying that he hadn't memorized his torah. So you asked him if you could tutor him ;) and he said yes.
Mike- You met him when you were just moving in. He saw you carrying boxes into your house and he offered to help. You said you were fine but eventually admitted that you could use some help. He carried in boxes with you and after you guys were done, he introduced himself.
Beverly- You met her in the bathroom where she was smoking between class and avoiding Greta. She sounded like she was crying so you asked her if she was ok. She said she was fine but she didn't really sound like it. Beverly offered you a cigarette but you said you didn't smoke. You introduced yourself and she offered to sign your yearbook. When she was signing it, she put her home phone number in it too.
