A poem to the old me

Did you know that soon it would all end?

Did you know that soon all the feelings would blend?

That everything will seem like a blur?

That everything you know will soon be disturbed?

You don't know what's ahead

But all you want to do is lay in bed

While I lie awake at night

As I realize we slowly lost our might

You and I are one in the same

But I can't help but feel as though I'm more tame

You say you believe

But I say you're just naive

If the the world tries to walk away

Don't make them stay

If they ruin your day

Make them have a better day than yours

Listen instead of shout even when they make your head pound

That will make them want to stay around

If I followed this advice

I might be more nice

You act like the tide

When your emotions sway along with your pride

You aren't like me at all you see

For I am not truly me
