A quarter moon had passed, and Robinkit was sitting by her mother, as she gathered around Tall Stone. Littlekit, Silverkit and Songkit were waiting nervously at the side, fur groomed immaculately.
One by one, they were called up, as Littlestar performed the apprentice ceremony.
"Songkit, you will now be known as Songpaw. Your mentor will be Ivyclaw"
"Littlekit, you will now be known as Littlepaw. Your mentor will be Bristleleaf"
"Silverkit, you will now be known as Silverpaw. You will share mentors with Fallowpaw. Snowheart will mentor you both until Fallowpaw has completed her training, then she will carry on with yours."
"Songpaw! Littlepaw! Silverpaw!" The clan chanted, relieved as three more cats would begin there training.
Robinkit joined in chanting her brothers' new names, but she couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed that she would be alone in the nursery. Tawnyfur was close to kitting, but she was still alone until then. Feathercloud gave her a lick of reassurance, as if guessing what she was thinking.
"It'll be your turn before you know it." She whispered.
