It was a dull winter morning, clouds grey and gloomy, flooding the library at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry  with a soft glow of limited daytime light. Books were quite literally flying off shelves. Students were busy studying and conversing with their friends, a steady, but low, whisper filling the room. A slight ruckus was caused, however, from a certain sixth year storming through the shelves until he reached his destination.

"Bloody hell, I can't believe he's broke another quill."

Seokjin slammed his roll of parchment on the library table, sitting across from his best friend, Yoongi, who simply shrugged. There was a soft thud as Seokjin's bag hit the floor. Yoongi lazily handed over a spare quill.

"The kid likes you, of course he's 'broken' another quill."

"Shut up," whispered Seokjin, looking over his shoulder before taking the quill. "He does not, he's just shit at writing with the damn thing. Like, c'mon, mate, it's a feather."

A sigh came from the opposite side of the table, along with a hand reaching over to flick Seokjin's forehead. The older hissed in pain, while the other leaned back and crossed his arms.

"Oi, what was that for?"

"No matter how bad you are at writing with a quill, no one breaks it that often on accident."

"Shut up."

"No. Now, what are you working on?"

Seokjin shot a glare at his friend and proceeded to pull a textbook and ink pot out of his bag. He flipped open "Mastering the Art of Divination" and ignored the boy in front of him. It had been a long day of studying, and Seokjin felt he had worked hard enough to get perfect marks. However, Divination was, for lack of better words, kicking his ass. Yoongi wasn't any help.

"Oi, wise guy. Just because you're older and in the house with all the smart kids doesn't mean you can ignore me."

"Shut up, Yoongs. I'm busy."

"Yeah? I see you've come a long way on your paper with the one ink splotch you've dropped on it. If you asked, maybe Quill Boy can help you out."

"Not likely."

The two didn't argue often, but the heavy weight of upcoming exams hung over their heads like a dark cloud, causing the two to bicker instead of cracking jokes with one another. Yoongi claimed Seokjin was being stuck up and closed off, where Seokjin shot back with Yoongi being lazy and irresponsible.

It had taken a toll on Hogwarts' inseparable pair.

"What's gotten into you, mate? You have never dismissed my jokes like that, I don't under–"

"Um, sorry to interrupt, but, um, Seokjin, I–"

Seokjin slammed his book closed, fuming as he cut the younger boy off.

"You broke another quill? It's been five seconds, Namjoon. Five seconds. Use spellotape or something, I'm leaving the library."

With that, Seokjin stuffed the textbook in his bag, leaving behind a stunned Namjoon and an amused Yoongi. The two watched Seokjin walk out and slam the door behind him. Yoongi broke into a laugh and held out his hand to Namjoon, which was taken reluctantly and shaken.

"Yoongi Min, best friend of Seokjin Kim. Nice to meet you, Quill Boy."
