I'm Jasmine, 17 years old. I live with my mom but she's always drunk... too drunk to know what's going on. My dad is gone he left when I was 8 I have a older brother but he's out to college

I wake up to the stupid alarm going off and it's time for school

I get up and go to my restroom I brush my teeth and go through my closet

Ughhh I have nothing to wear

I finally find something that looks okay to wear

I put this on

And leave my hair down. I put on some lipgloss and mascara on and grab my phone, charger and a hoodie and put them in my backpack except for my hoodie I put my hoodie on and go downstairs with my backpack

I grab a granola bar and see my mom passed out drunk on the couch I go up to her and kiss her forehead and grab my keys

I go outside and lock the door and I start walking to the bus stop

I put in my headphones to my phone and listen to some relaxing music

Chill calling

While I'm walking to the bus stop I start to think

I get to the bus stop and my friends start walking towards me

Gabe: Hey jasmine
Jasmine: hey Gabe
Ellena: hey jasmine
Jasmine: hey

The bus gets there and I sit in the back and Gabe and jasmine start to argue on who gets to sit next to me

Gabe: okay I'm sitting with her today
Ellena: no you did on Friday it's my turn
Jasmine: it's not like I'm gonna talk so just sit geez

Ellena sits next to me and Gabe sits behind us

I keep listening to music and we soon get to school

We get out of the bus and go to the bleachers

•LATER AT LUNCH•

It's lunch time and I walk to the cafeteria

I look at the options and they are all disgusting

I roll my eyes and start walking to subway that is next to my school

I almost get there and I feel someone following me I start speed walking and get to subway

I order and wait

I walk to school and still feel someone following me

I look behind me and I see a boy following me...

He looks pretty hot

He signals me to go over to him

I ignored it and kept walking back to school

He grabbed my hand and turned me around

???: Where you going?
Jasmine: uh why?
???: I think you'd rather be with me
Jasmine: I'm gonna be late...
???: okay. I'm Alex
Jasmine: um... okay. Bye

I walk away and get to school

I eat my sandwich and the bell rings

I get on the bus to get home and I get home and my moms car isn't there so I'm thinking she's either at a bar or something like that

I go inside and change into some shorts and a black T shirt

I'm bored... I should go somewhere...

I get dressed into some ripped jeans with a red crop top and my red Jordan's

I start walking around and accidentally bump into someone...

It was that boy from earlier

Alex: oh, hey
Jasmine: uh hi... sorry
Alex: it's all good...

A car comes and starts shooting

I duck and Alex pulls me behind a building and pulls out a gun and starts shooting back he hides me and the car eventually leaves and Alex looks at me

Alex: you okay?
Jasmine: y-yea I'm good... are you okay?
Alex: yea I'm fine.... you should head home....
Jasmine: yea...
Alex: I'll walk you there
Jasmine: uh... I'll be okay
Alex: c'mon I'm only gonna protect you
Jasmine: uh- um- okay?

I obviously wasn't gonna show him exactly where I lived cause for all I know he could be a kidnaper

He helped me up and we start walking

I walked 2 streets away from my house so I could easily walk or run to my house if I have to

We talked on the way

Alex: so... what's your name?
Jasmine: Jasmine
Alex: beautiful name for a beautiful girl
Jasmine: what was that about? The shooting?
Alex: I'm messed up in too many bad things...
Jennifer: what do you mean?
Alex: I've said too much already...

I point down the street

I start walking down the street until I can't see Alex anymore and turn to my actual street and go inside

HOLLY SHIT.... I literally almost died today...

I lock my front door and go upstairs and change into some sweatpants and a hoodie and lay down on my bed

I end up falling asleep
