Today, I saw someone.
It was a busy day at work, and I just finished my morning classes. Despite being tired and everything, I tried my best to stay up awake.
As someone who watches over an arcade shop, let me tell you this. Don’t. It is as boring as it sounds. Everyday is a hell if you wish for peace and solitude.
But maybe except this day.
I sighed as I lie on my bed, trying to reminicse the face of someone earlier. I remembered that for once, the annoying music from each and every game played in harmony the moment she went in.
She was wearing a rather simple clothing, but it suited her anyway. I remember her brows furrowing as she controls the claw machine. Only to be disappointed that she didn’t get the prize.
She tried again, wasting almost all of her money on that machine. Yet I know it very much that the claw machines are nothing but scams.
So at her last try, I decided to walk up to her. Or is it just my own instincts that kickstarted me to go to her? She looked at me, weirdly. Possibly wondering why I was there.
Well, I was there to help her. I opened the game’s window with the keys. And placed her chosen stufftoy near the game’s exit so it is easier for her.
Seeing her little face lit up with happiness was more than enough for me. Before I make things awkward I went back to the cashier and watched her from afar.
She smiled at me and left the store happily. I hope to meet her again soon. If only I spoke to her… or asked for her number.
No, that is too fast and weird.
I sighed again as I accepted the fact that she and I parted our ways and meeting her soon had nothing but a small chance.
