"Hey lil mama. What's wrong?" I heard a familiar voice behind me as everyone scattered into the halls — out of their last period classes.
"Oh. Hi Marlon. Just um—.. a lot I guess." I tucked a strand of my dark hair behind my ear as Marlon walked beside me.
"Yeah.. sorry about your dad. I hope he comes home." I looked down at me sympathetically.
"Thanks." I mumbled. "Me too."
"I heard about Mike too." He shook his head with a frown.
I looked up at his pretty light brown eyes as we made our way out the school doors and into the busy school lot.
"About us breaking up?"
We stopped walking as Marlon leaned against a tree with me standing in front of him. He looked me up and down then smirked.
"I actually didn't know you guys broke up. I mean, he is my bro and all, but I would too after finding out he's gay. Especially after hearing about that tape..." he looked away with a frown plastered upon his brows.
"Michael... gay? A Tape?"
"Yeah.. the tape of him and Donny gettin it on? Everyone's been talking about it all day." He looked at me with raised eyebrows.
"What tape?"
