Chapter 4:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Crystal is currently at the office. She was sitting on secretary's cubicle while doing the unfinished work the last secretary left.
"Good morning. Is Kyle here?" An unfamiliar woman said. Crystal looked up. Lime met amethyst. Crystal smiled.
"Do you have a meeting with Sir Kyle?" Crystal asked. The woman smiled.
"None, but tell him that Sandra is here." Sandra said. Crysal raised an eyebrow but buzzed her new boss.
"Yes? Miss me already, sweetheart?" Kyle said. She rolled her eyes.
"Please stop flattering yourself, Sir. Miss Sandra is asking for you." She said. He alerted.
"Cover me up; tell her I'm very busy." He said. She sighed as he cut the connection off.
What an arrogant boy! She thought. She looked at the woman and smiled, forcefully.
"I'm sorry but he's currently very busy." Crystal quoted. Sandra glared at her.
"But tell him I want to see him right here, right now." Sandra said. Crystal rolled her eyes.
"That's why I suggest you to set a meeting for you to see him." She said. Sandra pouted.
"I don't have to set a meeting because I am his girlfriend." Sandra said. Crystal looked at her. Head to toe.
His girlfriend...? She thought. She felt jealousy running through her. Gross!
"If you're his girlfriend then why can't you understand that he's currently working right now?" Crystal asked, slightly pissed. The employees in the other side of the floor peaked from their cubicles to see what was going on.
"I don't care if he's working! I am going inside." Sandra said. And with that, she headed towards the door. Crystal just let her do what she wanted, and since the woman announced that she's his girlfriend, she assumed he'll understand it.
Darn, this woman was very pushy. She thought. Sandra knocked but he didn't respond.
"Kyle-baby, it's me Sandra." Sandra said but he didn't respond. She knocked again and again. While Sandra stood in front of the door, Crystal picked up the phone and ringed her boss.
"Your girlfriend is knocking at your door. Just talk to her, her loud voice is irritating ME." She said, boldly. Kyle chuckled on the other line.
"Sorry sweetheart, but I'm not letting her in. And she wouldn't manage to enter because I automatically locked it. Oh, and for the record, she's not my girlfriend." He said. That made Crystal smile. She can't help but grin.
"Okay, fine, if that's what you want." She said. And as simple as that, she cut the connection off. After a couple of seconds, the woman grumpily made her way towards the elevator without even glancing at her. Maybe the woman realized that she wouldn't cope up with Kyle's stubbornness.
"Good Lord. She's very irritating." She said.
Sean went out of the elevator just as Sandra entered it. He made his way towards Crystal and leaned over her desk with a small smile present on his face.
"Hi." Sean greeted. Crystal looked up. Their eyes went wide.
"Sean/Tal?" They both said in unison.
"I didn't know you work here." Sean said. Crystal smiled.
"Well, Chloe recommended me." She said. Sean raised an eyebrow.
"You're her cousin that she recommended?" He asked. She nodded.
"Yeah. Anyways, do you want me to inform him that you're here?" She asked. Sean winked.
"No need, I'll just surprise him." Sean said. He, then, turned his back from her.
"Oh, is Kyle pressuring you?" He asked. Crystal smiled.
"No, he's not pressuring me. He's seducing me." She admitted. Sean chuckled.
"I got to go." He said. He was about to knock when she gasped, loudly.
"Oh, I forgot. He locked his door." She said, apollogeticaly. Sean smiled, knowing why.
"I think I know the reason. Then can you inform him, Tal?" He asked. She nodded, pressed the intercom buzzer.
"Sir, Sean is currently waiting at your front door. And mind you, your girlfriend already left a while ago." She emphasized.
Just "Sean"? Do they know each other? He thought.
"Send him in. And how many times do I have to tell you that she's not my girlfriend?" He rolled his eyes at this. She decided to ignore his last sentence and turned to the brown-haired lad.
"He said you can come in now." She said, smiling. Sean kissed her cheek.
"Thanks, Tal. And please melt his heart." Sean said, going in. She blinked.
Melt his heart? Crystal thought. He's currently walking towards Kyle's office. He felt like teasing him. Oh the pleasure.
Once he closed the door, he was sure he'll tease him endlessly. He faced Kyle and grinned widely and teasingly.
"What a gorgeous secretary you got this time, Kyle. She's oozing with sex appeal yet still managed to look tough. Is she your current fling?" Sean asked. Kyle sighed.
"She was. She ended it. Anyways, do you know each other?" He asked. Sean smirked.
"She's my girlfriend's cousin." Sean said. Kyle made a tsk sound.
"Is that bitterness and jealousy I hear?" Sean teased. Kyle looked at him.
"Maybe," He admitted. Sean laughed.
"Kyle, I think you're hooked." He said. Kyle smiled.
"Whatever you say, all I know is I want her. I'll get her back and the best way is for her to be my secretary." He said, smirking.
"Seriously, Kyle, you're very hooked. I have to warn Tal about this." Sean said. Kyle chuckled before they broke in a fit of laughter.
