The picture to the right is El Miradero (1902-present), once the home of the Brand family and now a library. The picture on the left is the Glendale Hotel (1888-1924), which never opened as a hotel because it missed the boom it was built for. It became a school and later a sanitarium before it was demolished. I've always loved it and wished it could have survived into modern times so I could visit it.

Last but not least is a shot of our Masonic Temple (1929-present) on Brand Boulevard in the mid-1920s. It went from a temple to a theater and is now a renovated office building.
