Amuneta Lacrinx Zacarus was a beautiful woman who loved to do anything that had a slight chance of death. Zane Zacarus was a handsome man who would rather stay home and watch anime. He was also the man Amuneta had allowed to put a ring on her finger and the man she spent the happiest days of her life with.
Recently, a fair had come in town. It was a carnival of sorts and would be there for quite some time. Zane, who had been wanting to do something special for his wife for some time now, figured it would be the perfect thing for them to do together. He did a quick bit of research to determine costs and such before smiling to himself. He texted his lovely wife and told her to be ready to leave when she got home tonight.
Time passed and soon the couple was strolling through the park where they met, towards the fair. Amuneta was smiling brightly as she walked hand in hand with her husband. She was always happy when she was in his presence, and it had been quite some time since they had done anything together. Upon entering the fair they had a minor dispute over who should pay for entry until Amuneta just handed the person her card, effectively settling the argument. They entered and soon found themselves enjoying the day.
Games were played, prizes won, and a couple rides were ridden, though only one rollercoaster at the expense of any bravery Zane had. The two spent some time relaxing around, eating carnival food and riding calmer rides, such as the Tunnel of Love and Amuneta even convinced him to get on the Merry-go-Round.
He couldn't find it in himself to say no to her, glad to see her so happy. He loved seeing her smile, and couldn't help but smile with her. She was his happiness, and he would give almost anything to see her happy. The gold ring on his finger reminded him every day of that.
They decided to end the night on the Ferris Wheel. They entered the cart together, hands intertwined. As the cabin began to move upwards slowly, they sat by each other, her head resting on his shoulder and his arm wrapped around her own shoulder. He smiled as for a moment he looked away from the sunset to gaze at her, her pale skin, raven and blue hair, and blue eyes more appealing to his eyes than any outside view. The golden ring on her fingers reminded him that they were bound together as lovers and he smiled more, the shorter girl smiling up at him. He pulled her into a kiss, which she returned. He found himself grinning at the thought that no matter how many times their lips connected, it was always like it had happened for the first time, and was full of nothing more than pure bliss. He held her close when they both pulled away, running his fingers through her long, wavy hair, enjoying the moment as she melted into his touch.
The two went home that night happy as they always were when together. Their hands were once again intertwined with each other and her head still rested on his shoulder, her being just the right to do so comfortably. They joked and talked to each other as they walked, continuing to enjoy the night even though they had left the carnival. With Amuneta by his side, Zane didn't believe he could ever find himself unhappy, and he knew that the woman next to him felt the same way, and for that, he was eternally grateful.
And forever in love.
