Black Belly Xia Yaoyao

Chapter 2

Xia Yaoyao looks at her mother's body covered with wounds with lifeless eyes. She stand up from her hiding spot and then slowly took a step towards her mother. When she is standing beside her lifeless mother, she reaches for her mother's pulse and didn't feel the beat then she put her finger on her mom's nose to feel her breath but it's already stopped. Xia Yaoyao suddenly laughs having her mind lost from the trauma of witnessing her mom being murdered with her own eyes. She then reach for her mom's handbag that has been thrown far away from the impact then took out her mother's phone. She searched for her Aunt Eva's name and then called her with a trembling hand. After a few seconds, the call got connected.

"Hey Aunty Eva, this is Yaoyao" She tried hard to make her voice sounds normal as she has to be strong and not crumble in front of her mother's body.

"What's up, honey?"

"Can you help me call the police and ambulance to my house?" Xia Yaoyao request for her aunt's help as she did not know the police's number and also to inform her about her mother's condition.

"What Happened?" Eva who just got home from her work asked her niece with a concerned voice.

"Mom died a few minutes ago from being murdered by some masked man," Xia Yaoyao told her aunt with a straight face and in a monotone like she was just discussing the weather.

"WHAT!" Eva screams in disbelief and cried mournfully. She knew that Xia Yaoyao will not joke about this as she is a very intelligent child. She did not ask for details as she ended the call and call the police and the ambulance. She is very worried about Xia Yaoyao's mental condition right now as no child will be okay after witnessing their mom die in front of them.

Eva drove to the villa in just a few minutes like a madman.

Xia Yaoyao kneels beside her mom's lifeless body absentmindedly. She recalled back what she saw back then. The masked man who killed her mom has a tattoo on his chest. When her mom struggled hard to get away, she accidentally ripped a bit of the man's shirt that shows the tattoo of a three-head snake which maybe symbolize their gang or something.

'I swear that one day I will find you and once I found you, I'll make you pay for what you did. You just wait' Xia Yaoyao made an oath to herself.

She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a fast footstep running towards her. She suddenly was engulfed in a hug. Her Aunt cried hard over her sister Han Xiang Lin's death until help arrived.

A few days after the funeral Eva's thoughts became reality when her niece didn't talk and appeared as a doll with no emotion even when she has done everything to make her talk. Xia Yaoyao became absentminded. Eva has to force her to eat every day in order to make Xia Yaoyao stay alive.
