Blake's POV, three-four years later, at Beacon.
"Y'know, you've been really quiet lately, Blake. More so than usual. What's up?" Yang drapes her arm around me, pulling me into her. "It's just, my brother's birthday is coming up." She laughs. She doesn't know yet. "And that's what's got you so bummed?" "It's also the day he died." She goes quiet. "O-Oh. I-I-I'm sorry for your loss." Tears fall from my eyes as I remember that day. And my last words to him. "I DON'T CARE! I HATE YOU! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" I collapse into Yang, crying. "I just wish I had the chance to make things right with him. Just one chance to tell him I'm sorry! That I didn't mean the things I said to him!" She rubs my back soothingly. "Hey, hey, it's okay, just cry, let it all out, Blake. How old would he have been?" I barely manage to speak. "S-seventeen. He would have been seventeen." She nods as I continue to sob. I'm sorry, Y/N. I'm so, so sorry!
Y/N's POV, not far from Beacon...
"Leviathan, are you sure? The last blade is under the school?" Yes, my sister Gaia always did love choosing dark, underground places to hide her sword. "Then let us go retrieve your sister." I jump down from my perch, running towards Beacon when I find myself unable to get past a translucent purple barrier. "Mr. Belladonna. How nice of you to join us." I scowl behind my mask, grabbing the hilt of Ignis. "I hate that name, Ozma." I turn to see a blonde woman with a tattered cape and a surprised looking old man in a green suit. "You, know who I truly am?" I keep my grip on Ignis. "Not me, but them," I say, gesturing to the four swords I carry. He motions to a small picnic table nearby, and we both have a seat.
"Why are you here? Did Salem send you?" I laugh, "That weak woman? No. I'm here on personal business." He peers over his glasses with interest. "And that business is?" "I want the sword you keep beneath your school." He closes his eyes and takes a sip from his mug. "The spirit of Earth, Gaia? You want that sword?" I nod curtly. "It's the last blade I need. I have Ignis, Zephyr, and Aquos." I decide not to tell him about Leviathan being in my possession. "I see. Very well, you may have the sword. On one condition." "What?" He smirks ever-so-slightly. "You'll become a student of Beacon, effective immediately," I growl, damn him and his conditions. "Fine. But I'm a one-man team, got it?" "Deal. Welcome to Beacon, Mr. Belladonna." "And DON'T call that. I'm Y/N L/N, the Demon Swordsman." He smiles this time. "Very well. Now, about initiation, we're going to have you go up against one of our best first-year teams. Team RWBY." I nod, disinterested.
Almost a full hour later, I'm waiting in a combat arena, facing four girls. A red one, a Schnee, a blondie, and a girl who looks suspiciously similar to Blake. Ozpin's voice comes over the speakers. "Demon Swordsman, your initiation will be to defeat Team RWBY within the next hour. If you are unable, consider our deal off. If you do manage it though, welcome to Beacon." I nod and grip Ignis, drawing it.
"Come at me."
The blonde one charges me head-on, and I just grab her by the neck and slam her into the ground. "This how you pick up chicks? Slam 'em against the ground?" I pull her up and throw her straight up, slashing her with Ignis when she falls within reach again, then sheathing the blade. "Yang!" The girl in red rushes me and starts a flurry of attack with her scythe. I dodge them easily. "So slow. You sure this the best first-year team, you got Oz?" I shout back while effortlessly moving out of the way from her attacks until a black glyph immobilizes my feet. "GOTCHA!" She goes for a horizontal slash, but I block it with Leviathan's sheath. "That so?" The Blake-esque girl stares in shock at Leviathan. "Ya hear that, buddy? She 'got' us! Hahaha. Oh, that's funny." I draw the blade slowly, feeling him scream in anger, bloodlust. "Let's go, Leviathan." My face twists into grin behind my mask. The Blake-esque girl's eyes widen at the name. "RUBY, WATCH OUT!" I raise the blade in my hand, bringing it down swiftly on Ruby's back. "Too late!" Ruby collapses to the ground, a large diagonal gash on her back. I stab Leviathan into the glyph, shattering it and freeing my legs. "Two down, two to go." I turn towards the Schnee girl, leaving the other for last.
"S-Stay back! I'm warning you!" I laugh darkly. "Try me." She rushes me with her sword attempting to impale me. I just let the blade run its course. A cold feeling emerges in my chest where my heart is. The blade pierces through me, the Schnee stopping when she realizes what she's done. "Ugh, god that's gonna be sore in the morning. My turn." I grip Leviathan tightly, place the blade on my shoulder, and pour energy into it. "Consume her, ROAR OF THE LEVIATHAN!" I feel the power flowing back through me, supercharged by Leviathan. I cut the girl multiple times over within the same second, depleting her Aura in the first few cuts, the rest creating large gashes that bleed profusely. I slowly sheath Leviathan, time speeding up for me again. Just before I fully sheath the blade, time returns to the same speed it is for everyone else. Blood drips from the cuts on the girl's body, slowed by the amount of time that has passed for them. I pull her sword out of my chest, feeling the wound close on its own. The cost of using the Elemental Blades and Leviathan. I lose my Aura but gain partial immortality. I can be killed, but only by one of the Blades.
I turn to the girl who looks like my sister. "Your name," I say, lifting a sheathed Leviathan to point at her. "B-Blake. Blake B-Belladonna." I freeze. Little sis?! This is, unexpected. I reach up and pull my mask off, revealing my (h/c) hair and yellow eyes. Numerous scars cover my face and tears are in my eyes. "L-little sister?" KILL HER! Shut up. She did nothing to me in that house. I walk towards her, lowering my sword slowly. "Y-Y/N?!" She starts backing up for each step I take. My eyes look towards the timer. 2 minutes left. Not good. "Sorry about this, Blake. Forgive me." I draw Zephyr and appear behind her in an instant. She doesn't even get the chance to speak before I hit her in the back of the neck, knocking her out.
"And the winner, is Y/N L/N, The Demon Swordsman! Welcome to Beacon." I barely hear his words as I sit next to my sister's unconscious body. "Looks like you were right, those years ago. I'm nothing but a monster. A demon. And not a child either. A full-fledged demon swordsman." I rest a hand on her head. "Again, I'm sorry. Please forgive me for that."
