Vex Family - Scyh

Vex Family

                  ~Intro ~

Scyh is a young 18 year old girl whose life is anything but normal. She is part Demon and part  Fylgja but you couldn't tell by looking at her . In her family she is the middle child which you would think would be  no fun but for her its the life . Her grandfather  is Death himself and he has her working as a reaper because of her ability to sense the end of lives and the iregularites of them . This is  Scyh and her life as a part of the Vex family .

Chapter 1: Scyh 

Being a reaper for grandfather is always fun nothing gets old. Each death is exciting and different. Once this guy died from his own reflection, well his reflection in a falling glass window which he stopped to watch because he had a hair up in the reflection. Poor guy ended up splattered on the ground because of Vanity. So the label on his file was Vanity stricken it fit perfectly. But today grandfather needed all of the reapers to work one plane crash because it crashed into a residential area so that adds to the plane deaths.  Usually a regular crash would call for just four reapers so it is a very rare occasion when we all get to work together. On my way  in to get briefed my cousin Jinx came running up to me from the side street. " Hey Scyh, isn't this going to be fun working together." she says. I smile  " Hi Jinx, yeah it is going to be great."  Jinx is like a third sister her parents were killed when she was twelve . Since then she has been living alone in her  house but she always comes and spends time with our family. Jinx and I are grandfathers favorite nieces. Since we are the only ones who have a nac for the family business, he is very fond of spending time with us. I give Jinx a hug and she gives me a bear hug back. " How have you been Jinx ? I haven't seen you in a while;". " I've been working three jobs;a job with Uncle Fate, one helping with the tunnels and of course reaping for grandfather." She says while counting the number of jobs off on her fingers. "You  have been busy ; if you need any help you can always come to us." I say with a worried look. " No, I'm okay I'll be stopping by more coming up... but right now we need to hurry." We both start to run  while  also being cautious with our Scythes even tho they aren't out.   Since today  is a unique case, we both check in to the same briefing room with by waving our totem carved necklaces in front of the screen. The doors crumbled and we continued down the hall to the conference room. When we got in the room  everyone  was a buzz with excitement. We both took  seats near the back since most of the good seats were taken by those who showed up early . Grandfather entered the room sending everyone in the room in to an deep  silence. "Welcome everyone as you all know a serious incident has  occurred, so that means a lot more souls need to be saved.  This could take hours so the sooner you're out of the tunnel and on site the better." he looked around the room with a stern look  You're dismissed happy reaping." We all stand and depart to the tunnels cavern to enter the crash site. I enter the tunnel right before Jinx instead of waiting for her I went straight to the sites window. As I reached I stopped and extended my Scythe to it's full size then walked through to the crash. Taking a deep breathe in preparation for  what I was about to do I reminded myself that all the souls gathered in the end would be taken to area zero . For us area zero is the heaven that souls are taken to for those who don't believe in a heaven it's like  a second life. If a soul isn't saved it turns into a nightmare that will go through dreams  and twist them tormenting a person till they either mentally break or their soul can't fight back which then the nightmare will take it's placing.  That's why grandfather wanted us out here as soon as possible so nothing that bad could happen. The time seemed to go fast as  the reaping went on. As I was collecting my last soul one of the site inspectors yelled site cleared  and everyone started to go back to the tunnel. It seemed like this crash was one of the longest shifts ever but with all of the souls saved and all headed to area zero it was a full filling shift and worth the hours . As I walked through the window I looked around at the others who seemed so happy and ready to celebrate such a unique even already which I didn't blame them the job was pretty tiring  But  we weren't done yet we all still had to take our souls to area zero. " Hey! Everyone listen up. Good job out there but now we need to finish the job. Those with Phi crest will go first followed by Roe crests and Mai crests and last  Reyn crests.  Then you all may go enjoy your time till more assignments are up. " Aaron looked around the crowd stopping shortly on me and staring at me with his cool golden grey eyes before he walked away. 

" Of course it would be Aaron today .. " huffing I walked turning down my street and headed straight for my apartment. Lucky for me my group was last to drop off the souls which meant I had some time to go relax and ignore the fact that I would have to see Aaron again later when I dropped off my souls in area zero. He is not a bad person he just ... turned in to a stick in the mud egotist
