Billy & The Siberian Husky

An Unlikely Bond

Billy still had tears running down his face, as the Siberian Husky approached the 10 year old boy in a non threatening way. The Husky just layed beside Billy keeping him warm, Billy was shocked, his face told it all. He was so dumbfounded by what was happening, he decided to see if this Husky was really friendly, but the only way he could think of that at the time was to try & pat it.

Billy slowly leant over the Husky very gently & stroked it's fur with a gentle touch. The Husky just popped it's head up wagging it's tale & licked him on the face. Billy laughed & was strangely enough, having a great time with the Husky. Billy thought he should name the Husky, first he questioned it's gender, he assumed it was a male but decided to check anyway.

Yep, it's a male. Billy decided to call him Neo. It was getting late & time to get home. Although Billy was silly enough to adventure out, he had a pretty good memory. He got up, as he got up so did Neo. Billy started to walk home as Neo followed slowly behind. 3min later, Billy reached the doorstep of his home. His parents where waiting for him, Leo kept a distance. Jessica & Rob weren't to happy he was out there all by himself on his own.

Billy tried to explain his side of the story of a Husky he named Leo that saved him from a wild wolf. His parents looked at him funny & told him it was his imagination. Billy was determined to prove it, with no questions asked he runs back outside & calls for Leo. As his parents are getting agitated by Billy not listening. They run outside after him.

Then they froze. They saw a Siberian Husky in the distance. They thought it was too dangerous too run, Billy turned around knowing his parents went after him, but seeing them frozen like that must of meant they saw the Husky or something else perhaps. Billy stopped, as soon as he saw it was the Husky he ran to Leo. Rob ran back inside to get a gun as Jess ran to her Son. As Rob came back outside ready to kill the Husky he saw something that he thought was impossible as did Jess.

They watched as Billy & The Siberian Husky played together, it was almost like the stray had been in human captivity before. It was magical. Jess & Rob asked if the Husky had a collar, Billy replied 'no'. At this moment Jess & Rob where shocked at what they saw, they decided to give the Husky a home. Billy told his parents he named him Leo, they simply said it was a good choice & ok.

Billy's dad asked him if he knew what breed of dog it was. Billy replied 'no, why?'. Rob explained & told him that it was a Siberian Husky. Billy smiled.
