As the festival started catching up with the students Kazu decided that she should stop caring about her looks as much. Due to this the black hair dye washed out of her hair leaving her with her natural silver locks. She let her hair grow out and stopped wearing her contacts as well. Instead of wasting her time doing those things she spent time training or analyzing quirk weaknesses in her opponents.

The day had come. Kazu sighed as she put her contacts in and put on her uniform. As she walked towards the door her father said something that made her rethink her relationship with him.
"You better go all out today because you have nothing to lose. Okay?"
Kazu only replied with a short nod before running out the door to get on the next bullet train.

As Kazu walked out into the arena with her class. Itsuka put her arm around Kazu.
"Isn't this great!" she exclaimed but was quickly interrupted by  Midnight  giving the introduction to the festival. Before Kazu knew it she was watching Bakugo go up to say the pledge. But what he said shocked everyone who was watching the event.

"I pledge...that I'll be number one."

Everyone shouted and grew angry at the blond boy. Kazu even rolled her eyes at the words. Midnight then hurried one to tell about the first event. The obstacle course.

As the event began Kazu saw Shoto freeze the ground, trapping everyone. Kazu turned the ice around her feet into water before boosting herself forward with water blasts from her wrists. She caught up with Shoto but was also shocked by what the first obstacle was. It was the stupid robots from the entrance exam. By this time some people had already had caught up with them.
She had heard Shoto mumble something before freezing the robots and advance further into the obstacle course. She could tell that they were frozen slightly off balance but before she could say something Kirishima, Tetsutetsu ran straight into the clusterfuck that could've killed them right then and there.
"Shoto must really want to win this..." Kazu thought as she threw her body over the metallic wreck in front of her.

She soon made to the next obstacle: an obstacle course. A treacherous canyon sprawled out before her but the only way to the platforms in between were thin ropes. As many students just went for the ropes without giving other options a single thought, Kazu began to analyze the situation to find a quicker way across the canyon. "If I make a delicate ice bridge I could benefit myself by using it but making sure it breaks behind me." This plan seemed extremely risky to Kazu but she still pushed herself to do it. While Kazu ran, she heard the ice shattering beside her, as she saw the other edge of the canyon she slipped and the ice below her cracked. With an abrupt movement, she did the only thing she could.

She tightly gripped onto the ledge and tried her best to pull herself up.
