Chapter 11: Valentine's Day

The next morning, Alex woke up still feeling the effects of his surprise from Alexa and Peyton the night before. He unlocked his phone and saw that it's Valentine's Day today; the Prince smiled and looked back at the two beauties sleeping.

Alex: today is the day of love; which means I have to buy something for my babies

Alex thought of what he's gonna get for Alexa and Peyton, and ideas came into his head. He went to the bathroom and showered. After he finished, he wore his casual clothing; luckily for him, Alexa and Peyton were still sleeping.

Alex: good they're still asleep, so as I come back; I'm gonna surprise them.

He grabbed his car keys and left. As he rode down to the lobby, he saw Randy and Mustafa.

Randy: where you off to, apprentice?

Alex: I'm gonna get my lovelies Valentine's gifts

Mustafa: whoa, can you give us a hint?

Alex: I'm not gonna spoil the surprise; you two have to wait until I come back

Randy: alright

Mustafa: good luck man

Alex: thanks; if they wake up and ask me where I am; say I just went for a jog

Randy: will do

Alex nodded and he exited to his car. He drove around for a good 15 to 20 minutes to the mall. He got out of his car and went in to find gifts for his two loves.

Alex: this is gonna take some time

He walked around for a while until he saw a toy store; what caught his attention are two animal plush, a pig and a koala.

Alex: perfect

He went in the store and grabbed the pig and the koala.

Alex: Alexa will love the pig since it resembles the legendary Larry Steve and Peyton will love the koala, so it will remind her of her home in Australia

He smiled at the two plush toys before purchasing them. He exited the store and continued looking around for anything that he can give to Alexa and Peyton.

After five minutes, he found a flower shop.

Alex: perfect; you can't go wrong with red roses, the classic

He went in the flower shop to buy two bouquets of red roses. 

Alex: plush, check; roses, check; what else do I need? Ah, jewelry

He went to the jewelry store where he bought the friendship rings.

Employee: welcome back sir

Alex: hey

Employee: what are you looking for today, sir?

Alex: well since today is the day of love, Valentine's day; do you have any necklaces?

Employee: of course, right this way

Alex followed the employee to a display case of necklaces.

Employee: now which do you want, sir?

Alex looked through each necklace to see which two he wants. He stumbled across two silver necklaces with Alexa's birthstone peridot and Peyton's birthstone topaz.

Alex: let me see the peridot and topaz ones, please

The employee got the two necklaces out of the case for Alex to look closely.

Alex: peridot and topaz, those are Alexa and Peyton's birthstones respectively. I'll take these two, please

Employee: wow sir, you must have a lucky lady
