Chapter 1: A "Normal" Summer Day

" I will save you, Sophia! "

" But Jim! You're going to die if you save her! "

" That is a risk I'm willing to- "

Seth changed the channel.

" Man, is there ever anything good on tv? " he mumbled to himself.

Seth's summer break had been extremely boring so far. Most of his friends were staying in other countries, while he just stayed at home. Little did he know, that this dull day would turn into something a lot more interesting soon.

After about an hour of watching lame tv shows, Seth turned off the television.

He sighed as he got up, visibly annoyed by the lack of something to do. Seth strolled over to the kitchen and turned on the coffee machine.

" This summer is so boring. " Seth grumbled.

" Why am I always the only one who stays at home? "

Seth was about to make a cup of coffee, when suddenly-

BANG! A loud sound came from his backyard. He instantly rushed outside, wanting to see what made all the noise.

His backyard was full of smoke, along with a relatively big crater.

Seth started coughing as the smoke cleared. A girl was lying in the middle of the crater. She had [COLOR] hair and her clothes were slightly charred.

" What the hell? Are you alright? " Seth asked. He was somewhat panicking.

The girl didn't respond at all. She didn't move, or at even open her eyes.

" My god. Is she...dead?! Should I call an ambulance? " Seth thought to himself.

Seth bent down and carefully picked up the girl's body. He walked back into the living room and put her down on the sofa.

That was when the girl slowly opened her eyes. She had [COLOR] pupils that emitted a dim light.

" Where.. am I? " the girl stuttered, looking at Seth.

" You're... in my house.

"What? Why? "

" Well, I heard a loud noise in my backyard and there you were. Just laying on the gorund. "

" Hm... "

The girl sat up and looked around.

" Do you know how you ended up here? " Seth asked the girl.

" I... have no idea. "

" Are you hurt at all? "

The girl shook her head.

" Well, my garden is a mess now. " Seth grumbled.

" Yeah, sorry for that. "

" Anyways.. what's your name? "

" My name is Hate. What's yours? "

" Seth. "

" Well then. Nice to meet you Seth. "

Seth put out his hand, which Hate immediatly shook.

Little did they know that this was just the beginning.
