"You see Mack, you can't hide this shit from him anymore." Keith urged, letting Faith tug at his hair.

"He caught on. He knows something." Nathan agreed, "I can't believe that we let it go on for this long."

"I know. I know." I sighed, "Shit, should I invite him over right now?"

"You don't even have his number Mack." Justin reminded, "I can't believe this is happening."

"You can't just invite him here." Evie interrupted, "Could you imagine the look on his face when he finds out that his best friends knew and met his child before he did?"

The guys took in a breath and I halted, "Shit, I hadn't thought about that."

"Mommy." Faith asked, my neck snapping over to her.

"Yes baby?" I questioned, looking to see if she was injured or needed anything.

"What does shit mean?" Her precious voice asked causing the 5 of us to pause.

"That's not a good word, darling." I muttered, "It's a bad word so don't say it okay?."

"But you said shit." She reasoned, "So why can't I say shit too?"

"Because it's a big kid word." Justin told her pulling her into a tickle fight.

"St-stop! Shit!!" She screamed.

We laughed not being able to stop at the innocence sounding curse word that came from her mouth.

"One more time and you're in time out." I warned her, keeping my face as serious as possible.

"I'm kidding mommy. I won't say it anymore."

"Do I call him?" I asked, pacing with my phone in my hand.

"I don't know." Evie shrugged.

"Do I text him?" I questioned, my nerves getting to me.

"I'm going to go." She told me, "You need to tell him yourself and you need to do it soon."

Before I could interrupt, she left and closed the door joining the boys for the dinner I prepared not even an hour earlier.

I let it ring.

What was I even thinking?

I wasn't thinking.

"Hello? Hello? Who is this?" His deep voice questioned.

I let my hand hover over the 'end call' button before pulling the phone up to my ear.

"Hey." I breathed out.

"W-who is this?"

"Wow, is my voice that different?" I joked, hoping to lighten the mood.

"Kenz—Mackenzie?"
