CHAPTER 1-One
‘‘Jena!!!’’My mum shouts in hopes to wake me up.
Argh…I looked at my clock that was on my side table and groaned it was 6.45 o’clock and am supposed to be at school by 8 o’clock. I so hate Mondays. I tumbled out of bed and told my mum I’d be down as soon as I am done.
I went into the bathroom, brushed my teeth and took a quick shower. I got out of the shower when I was done and wrapped up myself in a blue fluffy towel and walked out into my main bedroom. I walked over into my walk-in wardrobe, and then picked an outfit. Since it was the first year of being a sophomore, I settled on some black skinnies, white and black baseball T-shirt and a red and black jumper. For shoes I wore some awesome Jordan’s I bought yesterday, which were grey and black. I tied up my hair into a bow and then got my back pack and went downstairs. I was almost in the kitchen when I ran back into my bedroom and stuffed my phone into my back pocket. Then downstairs into the kitchen.
Upon entering the kitchen, I see my mum talking animatedly on the landline with, who knows I don’t care. Then I went over to my dad who was reading a newspaper by the island with a cup of coffee in his other free hand. I don’t really fancy coffee when it comes to its strong smell, I just can’t stand it.
‘‘Morning, dad,’’ I said and gave him a side hug which he returned gladly.
‘‘Morning pudding,’’ never gets old, ‘‘ready for another new school year?’’
‘‘Oh yeah, am so ready for it dad.’’ I said. I didn’t notice but by the time I sat and had small talk with my dad, mum got off the phone.
‘‘Morning honey,’’ she smiled, ‘‘better hurry up and eat up quick, you don’t want to be late on your first day do you now.’’
‘‘Yeah don’t want that indeed mum.’’ I said sarcastically, finished my toast and sandwich and got up and kissed both of them goodbye and grabbed my car keys, my sweet Mercedes Benz S. I got into my car and quickly texted Lia, one of my best friends and told her I would soon be by hers since she lives just a few blocks down from my house so we decided we would be riding together.
