Cynicism
Noun
An inclination to believe that people are motivated purely by self-interest; skepticismI walk through the halls, trying to get to class. Bam! I slammed into a person, a girl, and I fall, bringing my things with me to the floor. A hand reaches to me to help me get up, but why would she? Maybe she wants me to do something for her or maybe she wants me to buy something.
"Do you need help?" A soft voice brings me out of my thoughts.
I look at her and my eyes narrow, and her eyes looks straight back at my eyes, her eyes were blue and they twinkled with mischief, and they have glimmer of understanding. I take her hand, so that I can get up and piece of paper lands in my hand. The paper probably has her phone number so that I get her trust and then she'll betray me. I get up and gather my stuff, then I look at the paper and it said "Don't give into cynicism"Hi author here, and this is one of many short stories made from quotes, definitions and all that stuff. If you want something made into a short story just tell me in the comment section. Also I made this in writing club where we took a fortune from a fortune cookie and made it into a short story.
