Mall Cop - Lapidot

Lapidot was requested alot... Here you go you dirty sinners.

Lapis paced the floor, waiting for something to happen; per usual. But nothing had been reported, no scratchy voice coming through her transceiver.

People walking past her gave her odd looks, as most did. If being a mall cop wasn't enough, she was a female cop, in relatively good shape. She wasn't exactly Paul Blart.

She ran her fingers through her tangly, blue hair that she had barely brushed before rushing out of her apartment. She wore a white and blue uniform, yet she had ditched her hat for the day.

Lapis was anxious for something to happen. She just felt it in her guts that today was the day that something was actually going to happen during her shift.

A few stores away stood Peridot, her hands shoved into her hoodie, blending in with the crowd around her. Her green eyes scanned the vicinity, finally finding her destination.

With a small smirk she shuffled through the crowd, making sure to keep her head low. She checked that no one around was watching her before she pushed through a black door labeled 'do not enter, employees only'.

She quietly closed the door behind her. Her eyes fell onto a computer at the end of the room, monitored by a large male cop, dressed in a similar outfit to the anxious Lapis Lazuli's just a few stores away.

The small blonde girl grabbed a handheld taser from her hoodie pocket. She slowly sneaked up behind the balding man, turning on the taser. It made a loud sparking sound, causing the large man to jump up and turn his head towards the short girl.

Peridot quickly stuck the taser into the back of his neck. His eyes widened and mouth opened as he started convulsing. She retracted her hand, and the man shook for only a second more before slumping over in his chair.

Peridot straightened her glasses before pocketing the taser. She pushed the man aside and bent over to eye level with the computer screen.

Her eyes reflected the bright computer screen, radiating carelessness and knowledge. Her hands went to work as she stuck a USB into the box and sifted through countless files of information. She might've been there for over thirty minutes before she found the files she needed and uploaded them to the USB stick.

Once all of the information was uploaded, she hurriedly wiped all of the traces that showed she had been there and pulled out the USB. She pushed the man back in front of the computer and walked out of the room.

Peridot wiped sweat from her pale face, relieved that she had gotten out without being caught. She sauntered forward, sure that she had done the best job she could've.

Except for one tiny detail.

The door behind her slammed shut, alerting employees around her. Shouts of 'hey!' sounded around her.

Peridot panicked. She went into a full sprint, running with all of her might from the store.

"Someone get her!" a girl shouted from the store.

Lapis, who was in range of the store, witnessed a short girl in a green hoodie run past the elevators and towards her. A few more shouts followed her, alerting Lapis.

The blue haired cop readied herself to stop the incoming burglar, pulling her own taser from her belt.

Peridot's eyes widened as she saw the cop in front of her. She instantly took a sharp turn, veering to the right in an attempt of escape.
