A typical day in a typical school setting.
"Wedding Booth~!" The wedding booth committee shouted out to the crowd of people passing by their booth.
Or maybe not...
"Wait, we didn't even start setting up here." One of us said while looking at the empty tent beside us.
It's the University Games and we need funds for our J.S. Prom. So our batch decided to raise some funds since a lot of students will be here for the whole week. It's worth a shot with this kind of opportunity.
We are already setting-up the decorations for the tents and the props we need for the booth. Coats, ties, veil, rings and so much more. We also posted the packages outside for others to see. But to be honest, I am not a fan of this stuff... still, I'm excited.
It is a wedding booth, obviously. But there is a twist to the price. Instead of just paying for them to get married, they'll have to bid to continue or cancel the wedding. Pretty simple but it's super fun. Bidding is part of the fun.
"Can we have the Package D plus 30 minutes bonding time?" a batchmate of ours said as we finalize some of the decorations around the tent.
"Sure thing!" One of my co-committee said, "We'll just reserve it for later." she took out the legendary notebook that will tell the fate of those unfortunate ships around the school.
And now we have our first customer. That should be a good start.
We finish setting up the booth by having two reserved 'couples' before we fully open the booth.
"Wedding Booth! Please go to our wedding booth." I once again announced it as people pass by.
After a few minutes, the first ceremony started in no time.
There was a priest, DJ for the music, photographer, audience (lol) and, the timer which is me.
We have so much fun seeing those two victims handcuffed together. No ... to them, it's just business for Pete's sake. How remarkable and memorable. This will really be a keeper. Pictures are essential. Super essential.
We also roam around the whole university just to gain more customers for our booth. We god damn need some money that we are willing to do that. And we don't have much of a customer just around the booth's area.
But on the sad part, it rained that most of our materials are soaking wet due to the sudden rain.
The first day ended that we kinda have seven or eight couples married, soaked props and decoration, and some earned money from our ceremonies.
The second day started late as the first day. Some of our materials are still wet but we still earned more money.
Some even have a special ceremony for more fun and jokes.
And the second day ended like the first, ended up with married couples and money. Money is important because it's the main reason why this booth existed.
And we did a meeting after day 2 ended. We checked out income and well everything is good somehow. They already distributed the batch shirts. FYI, mine has a wrong spelling on it.
But everything shatters with this announcement...
"Okay, on Thursday is our last day and we will have a Grand Wedding?" One of our batch's advisers announced in front of us.
Cheering filled the whole room. They all look so happy, except for me and someone else.
I don't feel good about that...
