"Cassie show time!" My boss yells. I look up to my mirror adding my finishing touches. I look down at the counter to the mask. I run my fingers over the lace fabric wrapped around the one thing that changes me from Cassie to Kitty, the infamous stripper at Club 98.

"Cas, you're holding the show up," Maggie places her head on my shoulder. " You'll do fine, you're a star out there." She smiles picking up the mask. She places the mask across my face, tieing it around my head. There standing in front of me was my darkest secret. I reached up to the light switch for my mirror, flipping it down. There I stood in darkness as a light illuminated from the entrance of the stage. I followed the noise of men cheering till my feet were stopped by 3 little steps.

" You're on in 3..." The noises got louder.

"2...." The name Kitty was being chanted around the club.

...1" Bright lights hit my face. Showtime.

"Cassie this won't cut it!" Greg yelled, slamming the envelope on the counter.

" Greg, please one more week!" I begged. " I need this apartment."

"Cassie, how many times have I let you slide by?" I didn't respond knowing how much he has already done for me. " Too many." He began to walk away.

" Greg this is the last time I swear!" I grabbed his wrist. " I'm getting a better paying job today and will be able to pay the $500 by the end of the week." I looked into his eyes.

" Fine," He gave in. "I swear if there is no $500 on Sunday I will personally throw you out!" He points at me before stomping down the complex stairs. I sighed in relief, shutting the door. Living by yourself at 18 would seem fun but it isn't at all. Especially if you were just thrown into this without a heads up. My parents died 2 years ago in a plane crash, shocking my whole family. My dad was an only child and his parents died when I was younger. My mom has one sister, my aunt, who kicked me out last year. She said having to take care of a 7th child is too much for her. So much for family love. Greg knows my situation, but still needs to do his own job. I opened my phone to see it was 2:50 pm. Fuck! I scrambled around my apartment, grabbing my purse and keys. I sprinted down 2 flight of stairs, entering the parking garage. I hopped into my grey Honda, speeding to my interview. High school was always a joke to me so I don't know how I even have this interview with this big company. I made it to Gilinsky Incorporated at 2:55 pm. I'm pretty sure I looked like a fool running into the lobby of this place. I quickly slowed down as I approached the reception, to be greeted by a blonde bimbo. Wow, they really allow anyone at this company.

" Hi, I'm here for an interview with Mr. Gilinsky," I told the blonde girl. She looked up at me and gave me the dirtiest look.

" Oh, the 3 pm correct?" She said.

" Yes."

"Just walk down that hall to his office." I didn't even say thank you, the bitch didn't deserve it. I walked down this long hallway that looked like it costed a fortune. As I reached the glass doors that had a big J on one and a big G on the other, I knocked loudly against one door. A shadow of a tall man quickly appeared through the opaque glass. The door opened to a very handsome being with a suit on.

" You must be Miss. Thompson," He greeted me. I walked into this huge office. Everything looked like it cost more than everything I own combine. I gaped at the beauty of it all. A chuckle was let out behind me.

" I-I-I'm sorry," I blushed. "I've never seen anything like this before. I come from very little."

" Don't worry, I'm a very wealthy man and many people are shocked by my office as well." He took a seat in a big chair behind his desk. He gestured me to sit in one on the chairs in front of his desk. I placed my purse on the ground as I took a seat.

" So Miss. Thompson I see on your résumé that you don't have much experience in anything of my work." He stared down at my pathetic résumé.

" Yes sir, I don't but I really need a job." I began. " I could get water, I could file, I could even clean the floors!" He smiled at the end of my sentence.

" You don't have to do that." I sighed a little. I really didn't want to clean. " I was actually thinking of offering you an internship here,"

" Really?!" I cut him off.

" Yes, but there won't be any pay," My big smile went down. The only reason I chose this job was for the pay. " But this internship could boost your résumé and give you some experience because you're lucky I even chose you. This," He held the résumé in the air. " Wouldn't get you any decent job at all."

" I guess I accept the internship," I said. He smiled at me as I got up to leave.

I angerly jammed out to "Forever" by Chris Brown. I stopped at a red light and scanned around the city of New York. A blinking neon sign caught my eye. The light turned green and I quickly turned left to the sign.
