Welcome to the spin-off series of Faded.
"Ahoy Octoling!" I slowly opened my eyes looking around, "up and at 'em ya lazy whiffle whaffle, " said the old man in front of me.
Slowly I scooted away from him trying to create some distance, "where am I?" I asked quietly not meeting his gaze.
"This fight ain't over prepare for a royal whooping," he wobbled over to me, "but there's no honor in defeating an unarmed opponent... And you seemed to have lost your weapon around here." He looked around his head turning left and right, "and just where is, here, anyway?" He asked like I knew the answer I already asked that question. "Last I remember you were battling my protégé Agent three, in Octo Valley, when both of you were suddenly attacked by somebody."
I looked down at my hands trying to remember something, anything, but it was all a blank slate. I sighed, shrugging.
"And somehow we got marooned here..." I looked around again, same old room, "so uh... Hows about we call a temporary truce while we find a way to escape." He trailed off mumbling some more things to himself, some of which I heard, "but where are my manners, I haven't even told you my name, I'm Cap'n Cuttlefish, leader of the legendary New Squidbeak Splatoon! And you are?"
I sat there quietly as I tried to come up with an answer, "I don't know."
He mumbled to himself about me losing my memory, I had a feeling he was correct. He held his hand out for me to get up and I noticed the outfit I was in.
Blushing I attempted to pull the skirt down a bit farther."Interesting, you know I heard you humming the Calamari Inkantation before you came to."
I looked up at him, that name sounded familiar, "Cala...Mari?"
He mumbled more things to himself rambling on about it being etched into my soul or something like that.
"Any fan of the squid sisters is a friend of mine!" suddenly I felt something flash through my mind and I stumbled falling to the ground.
"Ika! Ika! Stop this!"
I gasped reaching for my throat as the memory faded.
"Come on, we need to get moving!" He pointed off in the direction of a whole bunch of machines, which looked familiar but were a complete mystery to me. And beyond that was an old, graffiti-covered train waiting at the station, I boarded it.
