The Way Home

Amnesia

"I remember some stuff at least..." I closed my eyes pressing my hand onto my head. I still had a faint headache from, whatever just happened. "I was in a lab of some sort, they... injected me with something," I shivered at the feeling of the needles. "And they called me Ika, I think it's my name."

Cuttlefish stared at me, ignoring the voices coming over the radio. "Do you remember anything else?" He asked helping off of the floor.

I shook my head, "no, just that they did something to me, and that my name is apparently Ika."

I sat down across from him staring out of the window. Cuttlefish was busy messing with the radio and talking to the two people. I looked into my reflection noticing a small bit of neon green. Startled I reached for my tentacle in the front and noticed that the ends were a tad bit green. I slowly pulled my hand away in shock and looked back at my reflection. I jumped when I saw that my eyes were also turning the same shade of green.

"You doing okay Agent 8?" Cuttlefish asked, startling me even more.

"U-uh yea I'm fine..." I lied, turning back to my reflection.

He didn't seem to notice it which was good. Suddenly the train came to a slow stop.

C.Q.Cumber slowly slithered in, "this is your first test, in order to collect the four things you must complete each one."

I stepped off of the train and into the weird booth. There was a platform waiting for me. Stepping on I received a weapon, I examined it a bit and shot it a few times before stepping on the second platform and paying. There was this weird vibration and suddenly I was shot forward into a foggy forest.
