"Bakugou!"

Katsuki looked up at the sound of his name, turning around and coming face to face with a worried Uraraka. "What?" He asked, concerned by the furrow of his friend's brows and the nervous wobble of her lips.

"Have you seen Deku?" She asked worriedly, brown eyes flitting around the room as if searching for the aforementioned man.

"What? I thought he was in the dressing room with you!" Bakugou huffed, masking the worry that gripped his heart with well-practiced faux annoyance.

"H-He was, but he said he needed to go to the bathroom! It's been half an hour and no one's seen him!" Uraraka hissed, keeping her voice down so as not to draw the attention of the guests walking about.

"Half an hour?!" Bakugou fumed. "Why the fuck did you wait so long to say something? The ceremony starts in an hour! What the fuck are we going to do without—Mph!"

Uraraka clamped a hand down over his mouth, silencing him as guests began to look in their direction. Bakugou reached out, pulling her hand away from his mouth with surprising gentility, but said no more. Despite all of his arguments to the contrary, he'd had a soft spot for Uraraka ever since their Sports Festival showdown all those years ago, and she'd become a dear friend (though he wouldn't admit it on the pain of death). Thus, he stayed quiet even as she grabbed him by the arm and dragged him back to the private dressing room where Midoriya was supposed to be getting ready. They'd only just stepped inside and closed the door when it swung open again, slamming against the wall as Todoroki and Iida barged in.

"What the fuck?!" Bakugou exclaimed. "Why'd you get him ? I'll find Deku!"

"What did you say to Izuku?" Todoroki demanded, storming straight for Bakugou with anger in his mismatched eyes.

Izuku . Bakugou's blood ran cold at the sound of Midoriya's given name coming from Todoroki's lips. He'd heard it over and over again over the years, had heard Todoroki's given name fall from Midoriya's lips over and over as well. It stung each and every time, stabbing yet another barb into his irreversibly damaged heart. Bakugou was violently jealous of Todoroki for being privileged enough to speak Midoriya's given name so freely. It was an intimacy he craved to have with his best friend, an intimacy he'd never have.

"The fuck are you talking about?!" Bakugou retorted, immediately taking a defensive stance.

"Izuku wouldn't run off for no reason," replied Todoroki, his voice low and full of venom. "I know how you feel about him. What did you do to him to make him run off?"

"I should be asking you that, considering that he's running away from you ! I swear to god, if you laid a fucking finger on him I'll—"

Todoroki growled. "You're accusing me of hurting him? Aren't you his middle school bully?" He spat, glaring daggers at the man.

Bakugou felt a painful pang in his chest at the reminder of his past treatment of Midoriya, but he shoved it down immediately. "Fuck you!" He spat. "I didn't fucking say anything to Deku, ask anyone! I haven't even been with him for the past hour!"

Todoroki took a step back, but his scowl was still ever-present and his eyes swept coldly over Bakugou's figure. "I know you want him," he said finally, his words like daggers, "I know you've tried to discourage him from seeing me in the past, and I have no doubt that you'd try it again today. I warn you, Bakugou: I won't let him go without a fight. I hope for your sake that you're telling the truth, and that you didn't do this to try and stop the wedding."
