Chapter 17

"They can't hear you Little one" my blood ran cold upon hearing his voice, my heart sped up and so did my breathing. There's only one person in the universe that scares me but he's dead. I didn't want to turn around. I turned my head slightly before saying
"You're dead, Hawkeye killed you. You can't be here. '' I heard a loud thud behind me and the ground shook slightly. I then heard his voice again but this time he was closer
"Yes, Hawkeye did try to kill me but before that little stand off, I transfused some of your blood with mine"
"That's not possible, the Serum was never in my blood"
"No it wasn't in your father's blood but remember what I told you all those years ago, you're special Emma... and I'm not done with you yet" the second be finished talking i took off running. I ran straight out of the room only to hear him yell
"DO YOU NOT LEARN LITTLE ONE, I'LL ALWAYS FIND YOU"

I didn't stop running... I couldn't ... My body wouldn't let me stop; I had to keep running. With the super soldier serum in his blood , Elijah Giles just became a million times more dangerous and that's what scares me. I've been on the receiving end of what he's capable of and it nearly killed me. My blood used to be 99.9% SS serum but after what he did... he took it all from me; the one thing that made me anything like my father and he took it from me.

As I ran down the hallway, I knew he wouldn't run after me; he likes the hunt to much for that. Every door I passed I tried to open in the hope that they weren't lock in lockdown. When i reached what felt like the millionth door a familiar whistle echoed in the halls; It was Elijah tormenting me. With my shaky hand I pressed my com in a last ditch attempt to get through to anyone
"Hello, This is Miss America, badge number 586-22.. Oh Fuck it. This Is Emma Rogers is anyone there, over!" Nothing
"God Dammit, Please someone answ..." I was cut off when i heard Avas voice
"Emma... Emma are you receiving me... Emma do you copy!" I felt a tad relieved at the sound of her voice.
"I copy. God you have no idea how good it is to hear your voice" The next voice i heard was Director Fury's
"Emma, What the hell is going on? Lockdown was activated from the YHD"
"Yeah, No Shit!"
"Excu..." I cut him off by saying
"It's Elijah. He's here and I'm trapped"
"That's not possible, he's dead"
"Well he seems pretty alive to me" I then heard Dicks voice
"Wait Elijah,as in the guy you had nightmares about?" I had to control my breathing as I replied to him
"Yeah. and i'm freaking out down here. Someone tell me what to do?"

No one responded straight away. As i heard footsteps getting closer I started running again whilst saying
"GUYS! Someone tell me what to do?!" I got a response from Fury
"Emma get to the intersection between YDH and Data collection. The teams will meet you there whilst I try to lift lockdown"
"Try what do you mean try! Just lift it!"
"It's not that simple anymore. For lockdown to be lifted i need the unanimous vote from the council. Only they can lift it now"
"Well whos bloody idea was that!?"
"The US Presidents" I turned a corner and said
"Well he's a bloody idiot then" Sam then said
"You have a lot to catch up on Em"

5 minutes later I arrived at the junction. However, there was a thick metal wall cutting me off from the Data section. I ran towards it and hit the wall in frustration
"No!" I set my head up against it in defeat but then I heard banging from the other side and then a lot of yelling. The voice that was closest to me was the only voice that could calm me down right now
"Emma!"
"Robin!"

Robins P.O.V.-

After the mind link lost connection with Emma, Her team gave us our own coms. We were then taken to the ops room to try and work out what the hell was going on. We left our mentors to talk things through with the security council. Anyway when we entered the ops room a voice came over the coms
"Hel-lo, This is Mi...s America, ba..dge nu..mb..er 586-22.. Oh Fuck it. This Is Emma Rogers is anyone there, over! .... God Dammit, Please someone answ..." The girl in a white tiger uniform pressed her coms and replied
"Emma... Emma are you receiving me... Emma do you copy!" I felt a tad relieved at the sound of her voice.
"I copy. God you have no idea how good it is to hear your voice" The next person to speak was Director Fury's
"Emma, What the hell is going on? Lockdown was activated from the YHD"
"Yeah, No Shit!" I let out a small laugh as she said that but covered it up with a cough.
"Excu..." she cut him off by saying
"It's Elijah. He's here and I'm trapped" Everyone in the room froze when she said that.
"That's not possible, he's dead"
"Well he seems pretty alive to me" That's when it clicked, I pressed my coms and said
"Wait Elijah,as in the guy you had nightmares about?"
"Yeah. and i'm freaking out down here. Someone tell me what to do?"

No one responded straight away. Everyone just kinda looked between ourselves as Emma yelled
"GUYS! Someone tell me what to do?!" Fury responded
"Emma get to the intersection between YDH and Data collection. The teams will meet you there whilst I try to lift lockdown" After he said that we all ran out of the room with Spider-man leading the way. As we were running we were still listening into the Fury's and Emma's conversation.

When we turned the corner to the Data collection sector 5 minutes later, we immediately saw the intersection to the YHD. we knew it was the intersection because it was blocked off my a huge metal wall. We all ran to the wall and started hitting it and calling Emma's name. "Emma!...Emma!" we were all at different bits of the wall. I hit it a couple more times before hearing her voice from the other side.
"Robin" I let out a sigh of relief before saying
"Are you okay!?" she replied
"Peachy" i could her how out of breath she was, but there was something else in her voice- a hint of fear.

Spider-Man then pressed his coms
"Fury what's going on with Lockdown" we didn't get a response from him
"Director fury!"
"I'm sorry..." Emma continued his sentence
"They won't lift it. They won't lift it" I then said
"Why the hell not?" I got a response from fury
"Elijah Giles is too high a risk to lift lockdown... I'm sorry Emma but you're on your own" Superboy then said
"No" he then began to punch the wall at full strength.

He kept punching but wasn't making a dent. Emma then started saying
"Superboy... Superboy stop" He wasn't listening
"CONNOR!" when she called his name he stopped and said
"We can't just leave you"
"And you can't through. It's Adamantium the strongest metal in the universe next to Vibranium- Webs back door?"
"I'll give it a go" He went over to a nearby panel and plugged in a device. Emma then said
"Robin?"
"I'm here" i heard the others walk away before Emma said
"I'm scared" I pressed my head against the wall and replied
"Whatever happens, I'm going to find you, I'll always find you"
"He's coming... If this is the last chance I'm...." I cut her off by saying
"Hey, don't say that"
"Just shut up for a second"
"Fine" I didn't get a response
"Emma?" still nothing.
"Shit"

I turned around and said
"We gotta get this door open" I got a response when the computer system announced

"Lockdown aborted-Lockdown aborted- Lockdown aborted"

When the door started to open we all we back over to it and ducked under it. On the other side, there was a small pool of blood that lead off into a blood trail. My heart beat sped up as we all followed the blood trail. As we followed it Iron fist said
"It's leading back to the living quarters"

We ran back towards the living quarters and when we entered the room I called out
"Emma!" I didn't get a response. Instead Power-man said
"Guys over here" We followed him over to the table, were there was a bigger pool of blood. In the blood pool there was a small flashing device. Nova then said
"He removed her tracker" I then muttered
"She's gone"
