Bakugou looked up from his phone, obviously impatient with the redhead.
"Know what? Spit it out!"
"If you would go to prom with me?"
Bakugou raised an eyebrow and began to chuckle, which became full out laughs after a moment. He calmed himself down quickly, his eyes widening when he saw Kirishima's straight face.
"Oh, you were serious?"
"Well, yeah... I thought it would be fun..."
"Heh, babe listen. That's not my style. A ton of teenagers shoved into a cramped room with eardrum-bursting loud music is not something I would want to be part of. I wouldn't look good in a suit anyway."

"O-Oh, okay. That's... that's fine."
Bakugou could hear the sadness in his boyfriend's voice. He looked up to see the boy looking at the floor, leaning against the railing on the roof of the building.
"Are you sure it's okay?"
"Yeah!"

A few days later, Bakugou could see that Kirishima was still distraught. The two were walking off campus, hand in hand, heading for the coffee shop a few blocks away.
"Kiri, are your sure it's okay?"
"Prom? Yeah, it's fine," he answered with much less enthusiasm as the first time Katsuki asked.
Bakugou squinted at the boy for a moment, then looked away, focusing on where they were going.

"Yes Bakugou! I'm sure! Can you stop asking now?!"

"Are you really okay with it?"
Kirishima looked up at his pink haired friend, pouting slightly.
"No..."
"There you go, you never lie to Mama Mina. Well, what are you gonna do?"
"I don't know. Probably just sleep until prom is over," Eijiro whined, flopping onto his bed.
Ashido frowned slightly, but pat Kirishima's head and sat on the edge of his bed.
"I'll support you through that. You can hibernate and I'll stay by your side. I bet Aizawa would let me."
