Chapter 7

"Hold it, so you two have actually broken up?" Lauren slightly frowns as she questions the older brunette.

Jade simply shrugs as they continue their walk down the path after a short group meetup. Little did Lauren realise, she discovers something unexpected.

A slight smile adorns the petite girl's adorable face. Bringing about such a past can be a bother but Jade takes it kindly.

Lauren expresses her feelings with a long sigh. "I didn't think it would happen though. How did I not realise it?"

"Well yeah, you're pretty occupied yourself I must say," Jade chuckles.

The green-eyed beauty shrugs in return, "True. I never would have guessed Jerrie broke up before. I mean you two are cute."

"Thanks," Jade blushes. "Maybe it was meant to happen. Look on the positive side at least we figured out how to make it work this time around. Even better than we had anticipated. Though the biggest obstacle we've overcome was definitely the starting."

"How difficult was the situation again?" Lauren promptly asks, too curious to hold back.

"Oh you know, the back and forth. She was with Zayn for 2 years when she can't resist my womanly charms. Not that I was trying to wreck them, I'm no home wrecker. She found out I had a crush on her long before she made things official with him but she wasn't sure herself. I never blamed her for her confused feelings. It must be tough on her. I could only imagine."

"I admire how understanding you are, truly. Zaynie said he was trying to help Pez figure out her feelings for you."

"That's true. Look, I know it's not my place to say this especially since you have DNA and they are your best friends but as a dear friend, I'd like to say that things would work out for you both. I can feel it. And no, I don't mean you and him. I apologise if what I'm saying is out of line. I just want you to know that you can talk to me. We girls should stick together. Sisterhood and all."

Lauren keeps her eyes downcast while absentmindedly kicking pebbles along the path. "Don't worry about it, there's nothing to apologise for." She then smiles at Jade, "I appreciate your support though Jade, thank you."

They finally reach their destination, Jade's home. Well, more of a rented house really. Jade hurries to the living room, couldn't wait to see her other half.

Jade hollers greetings at her housemates and kisses her tall blonde girlfriend excitedly before her brown eyes land on another pair of brown eyes.

Her eyes widen in realisation before she greets the guest awkwardly, "Oh, hi there, didn't know you were visiting today. It's a nice surprise nonetheless."

Without getting a chance to respond, another voice enters the area, "Hey Jeed, are you sure I'm not-".

Lauren's query is still hanging as her jaw hangs open.

Both Ariana and Camila breaks apart from cuddling on the sofa that instant.

All eyes are alternatingly looking at her and a certain brunette.

Just when things couldn't get any more awkward.

How long this weird staring contest is, no one knows but you could only open your mouth for some time before drool threatens to drip.

Lauren clears her throat and addresses the owner of the terrace instead, "Hi, Ariana. Sorry I didn't mean to intrude. I'm just here for Jade and I's...our group project. I won't even be here long-".
