Iron and Bender

Chapter two.

I slowly walk to the guild and when I get inside I sit in a dark corner. I stayed there for about ten minutes before Gajeel found me.

"Why are you sitting on the floor?" Gajeel asked sitting down next to me.

"Because I dont want to deal with everyone." I said hiding my face in my lap.

"If they give you shit ill punch them in the face." Gajeel said holding out his fist.

"Nah, I have to go on a job. Ugh.mountain country." I get up and sigh heavily.

"Can I go with you? We could split the jewel." He said standing as well.

"Im cool with it." I say walking out of the guild. We walk over to the train station and wait for our train to arrive. We boarded the train and took our seats near the back. "So why did you join Fairy Tail?" I asked calmly. "I joined because I needed work. I got kicked out of my last guild for being an ass... what about you? Why did you join?" He asked. "Well, when I was young my master was killed in front of me by some thugs. He didn't believe in hurting people so he just let them kill him. The men took me and put me to work in a slave camp and I stayed until I broke free. Then I ran to the neighboring city Magnolia in search of a place to stay. I bought my house and not too short after I joined the guild of Phantom Lord. I stayed there for a few years until I got pissed and tried to kill the guild master because he tried to have sex with me. Then I left and I joined Fairy Tail in search of Salamander and the Ice Mage." I said looking out of the window. "Oh my God. I am so sorry.." he said in a sympathetic tone. "Tch. I still have three more millenniums to go before the new Avatar finds me and kills me. This is just a minor part of my life story that I will probably forget in an another five hundred years." I say with a shrug. "Well isnt that cheery" he said rolling his eyes. For the remainder of the train ride we both tried to rest. When the ride was over and we got off of the train we instantly started walking into the small town. "There is no way in hell I am walking around in snow wearing a tank top and a skirt." I said as I approached a small shop. "Cant you just bend fire and not be cold?" Gajeel asked as he held the door. "It doesnt work that way. I am just like a regular human except for my bending. If I were to do that I would be cooking myself." I said as I walked towards the woman's section. I pick out a pair of white leggings and a fluffy white coat and pay for them. We walk for an hour before we stop to take a break in a nearby cave. "I hate snow so much! I wish I could just punch it and kill it!" I shouted. "I think we should stay here for the night. There is a big storm coming." Gajeel said totally ignoring my statement. "How do you know that?" I ask as I gathered a pile of sticks togther and set them on fire. "I can smell it." He said scooting closer to me. "What does it smell like?" I ask. "Rain." He replies wrapping his arms around me. "The very first time I learned to waterbend it was raining outside and I killed three deer because I accidentally shot the raindrops at them" I say smiling and leaning into his embrace. "Remind me to never piss you off when it is raining." He said with a smirk. "You shouldn't piss me off period." I said chuckling. "So what's the job?" He asked. "Its pretty simple. We just have to help this guy run his pottery shop while he is gone. It will be easy. " I said scooting closer to the fire. "Ugh. So I have to deal with people?" He asked. "Not really. You will be working in the back since you are way stronger than I am. So i'll deal with the people." I replied. "Im glad I could help such a weak pathetic woman" Gajeel said with a devious smirk. "You better watch it or ill do something." I said getting nose with him. "Ill take my chances." He said pulling me closer causing our lips to touch. I mentally praised the dark for concealing the blush that started to make its way across my face....
